Pharmacognosy: the science that studies the origin identification, production and processing, active components, pharmacological effects, quality evaluation and resource utilization of drugs.

Pharmacognosy: Also known as "natural medicine", it refers to natural, unprocessed or simply processed plants, animals and minerals. Crude drugs in a broad sense include all natural Chinese medicines, herbs, ethnic medicines and raw materials for extracting chemical medicines, that is, raw materials.
