East China University of Science and Technology, founded in 1952, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It was rated as "world-class discipline construction university", "2 1 1 engineering", "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform" and "double-class". He has successively been selected into the national master's degree program for building a high-level university, the innovation ability enhancement program for universities, the academic innovation introduction program for universities, the top-notch student training program for basic subjects 2.0, the two-million-dollar program, the excellent engineer training program, the new engineering research and practice program, the national innovation experiment program for college students, the national innovation and entrepreneurship training program for college students, the national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and the China Municipal Government scholarship for overseas students.
East China University of Science and Technology, formerly known as East China Institute of Chemical Technology, was founded by Jiaotong University, Aurora University, Datong University, Soochow University and the Department of Chemical Engineering of Jiangnan University. 1952. 1956 was designated as one of the first universities in China to recruit graduate students. 1972 was renamed as Shanghai Institute of Chemical Technology. 198 1 became the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China in August. 1985, the school first established a postdoctoral research mobile station.
