Myopia is a disease with a high prevalence among young students in China, especially in key middle schools, and the myopia rate remains high, even increasing year by year [1]. In order to understand the prevalence of myopia and its influencing factors among senior high school students in Heze City, we conducted physical examinations on senior one and senior two students in No.1 Middle School in Heze City from June 5, 2006 to 2006 10, and investigated myopia, poor eye hygiene and genetic factors, so as to provide scientific basis for better prevention and treatment of myopia among middle school students in the future. The results are reported as follows. 1 objects and methods 1. 1 objects There were 2268 students in Grade One and Grade Two of Heze No.1 Middle School, including 902 girls and boys 1366. 1.2 methods the visual acuity of the respondents was examined by professionals, and the international standard logarithmic visual acuity chart was used to measure according to the conventional method, taking the visual acuity of the eye with the lowest naked eye as the standard. Visual acuity above 5.0 is normal, and 4.94.7 is normal.
