Lin is an outstanding woman in the modern cultural history of China and the first female architect in China. She and her husband, Liang Sicheng, devoted their lives to their beloved architecture and art career in China. Together, they founded the research system of ancient buildings in China, and established two departments of architecture, namely Northeastern University and Tsinghua University. They are pioneers and founders in the study of China's architectural history system.

1, design of new China national emblem

1949 In late September, Lin and the teachers of 10 architecture department participated in the design of the national emblem, and she put all her efforts and knowledge into this design. Their design was selected as the national emblem by the Second Congress of the First Session of China People's Political Consultative Conference in June 1950.

2. Design of Monument to the People's Heroes

65438-0949, the Urban Planning Committee of Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference collected the design scheme of the monument from the whole country. Lin and Liang Sicheng agreed that the design of the Monument to the People's Heroes should be mainly in the form of monuments, with inscriptions as the center.

3. The logo design of Northeastern University

At the end of the 1920s, Lin, an associate professor in the Department of Architecture of Northeastern University, participated in the Northeast University School Emblem Collection Grand Prix initiated by Zhang Xueliang. Lin's design of Baishan Blackwater won the first prize in one fell swoop and won the highest prize in this competition.
