Professor Yan and Chief Physician Shen, the first doctors in Chinese tuina, have taken shape after comprehensive training and exercise in basic massage theory, clinical work and experimental research. He was awarded the title of the first "New Star of Medical Hospital" by Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, the title of "Dawn Scholar" by Shanghai Education Commission, the title of "Star of Tomorrow" by Shanghai Science and Technology Department, and was selected into "Dawn Project". He is also the winner of the Silver Snake Award of Shanghai Health Bureau, the new long March commando in Shanghai, the winner of the first Yande New Outstanding Talents Award Fund, the model worker in Shanghai in 2003 and the "Outstanding Yueyang Man" in 2004.
