In this experiment, glycerol trioleate, a composite adsorbent, was prepared, which can effectively remove persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in the ocean. The preparation method, morphological structure and its influence on the adsorption behavior of POPs in water were also studied.

The experimental results show that the new composite adsorbent is supported by activated carbon, and the outer layer of activated carbon is coated with cellulose acetate film of glycerol trioleate. Taking naphthalene and anthracene as target pollutants, the adsorption equilibrium and the influencing factors of adsorption process were studied.

The experimental results show that the new composite adsorbent has strong adsorption capacity for stable trace lipophilic and persistent organic pollutants in seawater. At the same time, the effects of different factors (temperature, ionic strength, pH, salinity and humic acid concentration) on the adsorption rate of naphthalene and anthracene were also studied.

The experimental results show that higher temperature, lower ionic strength, lower pH value and lower humic acid concentration are beneficial to improve the adsorption rate of sodium, while the adsorption rate of anthraquinone slows down with the increase of temperature and pH value, and first accelerates and then slows down with the increase of humic acid concentration, which has little to do with ionic strength.
