Historical Records, formerly known as Taishigong or Taishigong Gong Ji and Taishigong Historical Records, is a biographical history book written by Sima Qian, a historian of the Western Han Dynasty, and the first biographical general history in the history of China.

It recorded the history of four years and more than 3,000 years from the legendary Huangdi era to Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty. In the first year of Taichu (BC 104), Sima Qian began to create Taishi Gongshu, later called Shiji. This book was used for 14 years before and after completion.

2. Peacock Flying Southeast

Peacock Flying Southeast is the first narrative poem in the history of China literature, and it is also the pinnacle of Yuefu poetry. Later generations praised it and Mulan poems of the Northern Dynasties as "double walls of Yuefu". Peacock Flying Southeast is based on a marriage tragedy that happened in Lujiang County (now in Huaining and Qianshan, Anhui Province) during the reign of Emperor Xian of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

The original title was "Ancient Poems for Jiao Zhongqing's Wife", and it was named because the first sentence of the poem was "Peacock flies southeast and wanders in five miles". The whole poem has more than 350 sentences, 1700 words. It mainly tells the story of being forced to separate and both committed suicide, accusing the ruthlessness of feudal ethics and praising Jiao and Liu's sincere feelings and rebellious spirit.

Together with Historical Records, Hanshu and The History of the Three Kingdoms, it is called "the first four histories".

The Book of the Later Han Dynasty is divided into ten chapters, eighty biographies and eight records (from Sima Biao's Continued Han Dynasty). The book mainly describes the historical events from the first year of Jianwu (25 years) of Guangwu Emperor in the Eastern Han Dynasty to the 25th year of Jian 'an Emperor in the Han Dynasty (220 years), *** 195.

The History of the Later Han Dynasty mostly followed the ready-made styles of Historical Records and History of the Han Dynasty, but in the process of writing, Ye Fan made some innovations and changes according to the specific characteristics of the history of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
