Experience on how to write high-quality papers
(1) Writing of Thesis Title

The title of the paper should express the main idea of the paper in the shortest words (for example, in impact mechanics, some people study why cats fall from the ninth floor and always land on all fours no matter what posture, the title of the paper is called cat rotation). Don't be too broad, too broad, which is not conducive to your writing.

Note: There is a kind of paper in Chinese entitled "Research on X", but the expression "A reach on" cannot be used when translating it into English, because reach is a very broad word in English, which refers to great research. In general, only this kind of descriptive research can be used.

(2) Writing an abstract of the paper

What is a summary? Abstract is an advertisement for the whole paper. Have you ever seen a bad and long advertisement? The answer is no, therefore, the writing of the abstract must follow the concept of conciseness, and the overall length of the abstract should not exceed 1/2 pages, and it is best to control it around 1/3.

Note: Abstract is very important. Whether a paper can be seen by reviewers at a glance depends on the content of the abstract. Because when an editor sends a paper to a reviewer, he only sends an abstract for the first time, and there is no text, so the quality of the abstract directly determines whether the reviewer will review your manuscript.

(3) writing the introduction of the paper

In the introduction, I mainly explain why you want to do this research. You must explain the value and significance (usefulness) of this research. Good study should be useful and interesting. The content order of the introduction part is generally: what is the problem we are studying-where is the value of the research-what are the existing studies on this issue-what are the limitations of these studies-what is my own view on this issue-and finally explain the significance of my research.

Note: Introduction is not to list other people's research, but to analyze other people's research.

(4) The writing of the method part of the thesis.

The method part is the core of the whole paper, that is, telling readers how this research is carried out. Therefore, we must pay attention to the description of details in the method part, so that colleagues can repeat their own research. What needs to be explained here is that if you do experiments with mature methods or paradigms, you don't need to describe them in detail.

In the method part, if it is an experimental paper, it is necessary to clarify the key experimental stimuli and experimental conditions. If it is a simulated data paper, it is necessary to explain the conditions and assumptions of this data simulation.

(5) The writing of the result part of the paper.

The best way to write the results is to tell stories, such as the data results of the analysis and research of pulling wool balls. The results part should report the main findings of the study, which are mainly different from previous studies; Unexpected results; The repeatability, reliability and error of the results are explained.

In the result part, charts can sometimes play a much bigger role than simple text description, and charts are often the most convincing. Graphics and tables are different. For the same result, there is no need to describe it repeatedly in two ways: graph and table. When drawing a chart, it is necessary to indicate the standard definition legend representation example.

(6) Writing the discussion part of the paper.

Discussion is the essence of a paper and an important part of conveying the excitement brought by research results to readers. The discussion part mainly expounds the greatest academic contribution of the research, and it should correspond to the content of the result part. The enlightenment brought by the important achievements of the reproduction result part also needs to be introduced accordingly, for example, the research results can be related to a certain theory.

(7) Write the conclusion of the thesis.

The conclusion part should rise to a higher level to examine my thesis and find its significance. The most taboo is that there are no new words in the conclusion, that is, only the content of the discussion part is transferred to the conclusion. The conclusion should be simple and clear. In order to avoid the editor's critical comments, the author can state the limitations of this study and the future research direction in the conclusion.

(8) Writing the reference part of the paper.

The reference part is not to show my profound knowledge. For example, I know 600 papers. In order to show my erudition, I randomly selected 60 papers for reference. This is wrong and stupid. References should refer to the most relevant documents, that is, through these references, I got the inspiration to do this research. All references must be read by yourself. The writing of references should also meet the requirements of periodical citation format.
