Sheldon Cooper's Early Life
Sheldon was born in Galveston, Texas. He and his brother (George Jr.) and twin sister (Missy) were raised by their father (George) and mother (Mary). Mary is a devout Christian evangelical. She raised him according to her own beliefs, such as joining a Christian youth bowling league and teaching him how to pray. Sheldon has been a child prodigy since he was a child, and many remarkable achievements in his childhood can prove this: he built a computer tomography scanner that didn't work properly, burned his sister's guinea pig "Snowball", a so-called "sonic death ray" and an armed robot modified from Missy's toy oven. When Sheldon was twelve years old, he wanted a titanium centrifuge to separate radioactive isotopes. According to his mother, when he was thirteen, he built a nuclear reactor to supply electricity to the whole town. However, a government official told him that it was illegal to store yellow cakes in the garage and stopped his behavior. At the age of fourteen, he began to play with lasers (so his parents sent him to boarding school) to study for a doctorate, and at the age of fourteen and a half, he became the youngest winner of the Stevenson Prize (this record was later broken by Dennis King, a prodigy who defected from North Korea). When he was young, Sheldon was laughed at and bullied by his neighbors, children and classmates. According to his own statement, "my IQ makes them feel threatened", but according to his mother, he is "better than others"

After finishing the fifth grade at the age of 1 1, Sheldon went directly to the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and graduated with honors at the age of 14. At the age of 0/5,/kloc-Sheldon was a visiting scholar at Heidelberg Institute in Germany, and at the age of 0/6,/kloc-received his first doctorate, when he was studying torsion theory. In the next four years, he is completing his second doctoral thesis. At the beginning of this series, he has been working for three and a half years.
