Binding cover is a common term in printing. It is generally understood that books are made of rubber products such as brush glue, double-sided tape and glue stick, and finally cut according to the size of the finished product.
The advantages of hardcover books are high production speed, smooth and beautiful appearance and low cost. However, the bound volume has fatal defects, such as easy cracking and loose pages, especially thick books. Therefore, when reading, it cannot be completely spread out, and it is small and inconvenient to use.
Matters needing attention in the use of plastic binding
① After the glue in the hot melt adhesive is soaked and dried, the book cannot be opened to the end, and the 3mm part of the binding area cannot be read. Therefore, the center of the inner page should be 2 ~ 3mm away from the opening.
(2) Do not use paper weighing more than157g for books packed with hot sol, because the paper is too thick, which may cause the glue at the spine to degum and break.
(3) the thickness of the tender binding is generally between 3 mm and 30 mm.. If the book block is too thin, it can't be used in this machine. If the book block is too thick, it is easy to cause the glue to come off and break when reading. Generally speaking, the thinner the paper, the greater the allowable thickness of wireless binding.
(4) For books with necking on the cover, it is not suitable to use wireless binding, because the cover incision should be treated first, and then the hot melt adhesive is easily squeezed and deformed after being clamped and shaped, but we can consider using lock thread binding.
