After the thesis is completed and submitted to the tutor for approval, you can apply for defense.
The respondent shall submit the postgraduate defense application report, abstract of dissertation, award-winning certificate during the study period, full-text published article or on-the-job certificate and other supporting materials to the Personnel and Education Department before the specified time. Overdue or incomplete materials will not be accepted.
After the materials submitted by the applicant have passed the preliminary examination by academic degree evaluation committee, the secretary unit of the Center, they will be submitted to the academic degree evaluation committee Discipline and Professional Group of the Center for preliminary examination of the qualification of thesis defense and the preliminary examination of thesis writing and format. The defense can only be organized after the pre-trial is passed.
Before the graduate students reply, the reply secretary will send the graduation thesis to relevant experts for review. There are at least three reviewers' opinions in the postgraduate defense, among which 1 is an expert from other units; There are at least five evaluation opinions in the doctoral defense, two of which are experts from other units.
The Ministry of Personnel and Education or the Minister of National Defense is responsible for withdrawing the opinions of the reviewers, which are confidential to the applicant. If the reviewer has no objection to the paper, he can organize a defense. The national defense secretary receives the defense statement, graduate registration form, graduation thesis defense procedure, defense ballot and defense record paper, and organizes the implementation. If more than one-third of the returned opinions disagree, you can't organize a defense, but you can reserve your application qualification and apply for a defense again after modifying the paper. The maximum retention time shall not exceed two years.
The Minister of National Defense shall notify the whole center of national defense matters two days in advance (except for confidential contents).
