Perceptual knowledge is the basis of rational knowledge, and rational knowledge depends on perceptual knowledge. From the source of knowledge, all true knowledge comes from social practice, while perceptual knowledge comes directly from practice. In social time, people first get the direct experience of perceptual knowledge, and only by accumulating very rich practical perceptual materials can they be scientifically abstracted and reach rational knowledge.
The relationship between rationality and sensibility;
① Rational knowledge depends on perceptual knowledge, which is the lower stage of knowledge and the basis of rational knowledge. What is rational is reliable precisely because it comes from perceptual knowledge, otherwise, rational knowledge will become passive water and rootless source. Rational knowledge depends on perceptual knowledge, which is epistemological materialism.
(2) perceptual knowledge needs to be deepened and developed into rational knowledge, which is determined by the limitations of perceptual knowledge and the task and purpose of cognition. Perceptual cognition reflects the phenomena and external relations of things, while the fundamental task of cognition is to reveal the essence and laws of things, and the purpose of cognition is to guide practice with the acquired rational knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to develop perceptual knowledge into rational knowledge, which is the dialectics in epistemology.
③ Perceptual knowledge and rational knowledge are unified in practice. In the final analysis, both perceptual knowledge and rational knowledge are produced on the basis of practice, and the transition from perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge is finally realized on the basis of practice.
