Dear teachers and students:

Hello everyone!

Today, the topic of my speech is "Farewell to uncivilized behavior".

At present, there are many uncivilized phenomena on campus, for example, calling teachers by their first names; Fighting and swearing on campus; Destruction of public facilities in schools; Talking loudly in classrooms and other public places, affecting others; Graffiti on walls, tables and chairs; Littering and wasting food; Cheating in exams ... these not only violate the most basic daily behavior norms of middle school students, but also affect the image of contemporary middle school students and destroy the harmonious and beautiful campus environment. In order to purify students' thoughts, develop good behavior habits, educate and guide students to speak civilized words, do civilized things and be civilized people, our school has launched the activity of "being a civilized middle school student and bidding farewell to uncivilized behavior".

Why bid farewell to uncivilized behavior? John maynard keynes once said: Habit forms character, and character determines fate.

Some people have taken other people's things at random since childhood, and when they get to middle school, they smoke and drink and go to Internet cafes, never taking learning as what they should do. Usually speaking dishonestly, doing things carelessly, not observing public order and good customs, and swearing when talking to people. Such people can only become the burden of society and the scum of mankind when they grow up.

However, some students, although young, are very cultivated in their studies and in dealing with others, and are loved by teachers and classmates.

How can we be a civilized student? I think:

Civilized students must be people who love learning. He is always eager for knowledge. He is an active learner in and out of class. He is diligent in thinking, loves to ask questions and is not afraid of difficulties. Civilized students must be polite people. Polite words are always on your lips, never swear, and stay away from foul language. He knows that if you want others to respect yourself, you must first respect others, because respecting others is as important as respecting yourself.

Civilized students must be people with good hygiene habits. The bed and quilt are folded beautifully and the items are arranged neatly. He will consciously maintain the campus environment and do a good job on duty every time. He won't litter, but will start picking up rubbish, because he knows that the environment is everyone's environment and leaves the beauty to others and himself.

Civilized students must be people who care for public and private property. He loves everything about the school. He won't bring mud and sand to the plastic runway, scribble, waste water and electricity, kick doors, break locks, tear books ... and he will discourage and stop sabotage and report it in time.

A civilized student must be a caring and responsible person. He will respect his teachers and love his classmates, care about people and things around him, and will not quarrel with his classmates or engage in disunity. He will know how to be grateful, grateful for the upbringing of his parents and elders, and grateful for the teaching of his teachers.

Students, the pulse of the times has begun to beat, and the horn of action has sounded. Let's act together! Don't hesitate, don't shrink back, don't let civilization just talk about it, but let the sunshine of civilization spread all over the campus, let civilization fill everyone's heart, and let us walk with civilization and the times to move towards a more brilliant tomorrow together!

There are too many bad behaviors in society that restrict our thinking. As we shoulder the responsibility of our motherland, for the sake of our mother's health and prosperity, we have reason to reject uncivilized phenomena, and even more reason to improve our own quality and be a moral and cultured person.

Whether you like it or not, if a person wants to succeed in his studies or career and live happily, he must first learn manners and etiquette, learn to get along with anyone, including relatives and friends, teachers and classmates, and even all those who need to communicate with him, and learn to shape a healthy personality. School is an important garden for shaping personality, because everything everyone learns in school will be deeply branded in his mind and extended to social life and interpersonal communication. An educator once said: a person's behavior can become a habit over time; A person's habits can become a character over time; A person's personality often determines his future. Healthy personality is gradually cultivated, but the "best period" of personality cultivation is the middle school stage.

Today, in our campus, there are still some uncivilized and impolite phenomena: some students call names and give nicknames to their classmates, but it is difficult to help them; Some students don't listen to the teacher and don't finish the homework assigned by the teacher; Some students throw confetti on campus, turn a blind eye and scribble on the wall; Some students don't obey traffic rules and discipline in class; Even some students are inattentive, studying hard at school, surfing the Internet secretly, (...) wasting their time, disrespecting their parents and the elderly at home, and so on. These are all uncivilized, impolite and do not cherish the performance of youth. These phenomena not only affect the image of the school and each of us, but also affect our own future growth.

Therefore, it is the minimum quality that each of us should have to develop good manners and cherish our youth. Students, you are the builders and successors of the future society of the motherland. The degree of civilization progress in the future society is directly related to our civilization level. Without etiquette, it is difficult to be the master of the future society. Therefore, we should learn the knowledge of civilized manners, actively participate in school education activities, constantly improve our civilization, and strive to be good children at home, good students at school and good citizens in society.

Teachers, classmates, civilization, etiquette, you have me, I have him, and building a harmonious campus depends on everyone. Let's take active actions to make civilized manners become the conscious words and deeds of each of us, so that civilized manners are no longer external constraints, but internalized self-discipline. Let's work together to be pioneers of civilized manners and make our campus a civilized, harmonious and caring campus! Let our mother be more and more beautiful!
