Accelerating the informatization construction of geological data is an urgent requirement of the development of the times, and the digital campus in colleges and universities provides an opportunity for the construction of digital data files. Based on the present situation, demand and existing problems of informatization construction of geological data and archives management in colleges and universities, this paper mainly discusses the core tasks and development countermeasures of promoting digitalization and informatization of geological data and archives management in colleges and universities.

With the expansion of school scale and the sharp increase of scientific research workload, the demand for using geological data in teaching and scientific research has expanded sharply, which puts forward higher requirements for the management and service of geological data, which is manifested in the increase in the number and frequency of using topographic maps in field work, the rapid increase in the query and retrieval rate of geological reports and documents written by graduate students, and the sudden increase in the number of researchers consulting results and materials. Therefore, the traditional manual data management mode has been difficult to meet the current needs. Only by comprehensively promoting the informatization construction of data and archives management can we provide more efficient, fast and accurate management and services.
2 the status quo of geological data and archives management in colleges and universities
2. 1 state analysis
China Geo University (Beijing) has gradually resumed data archiving since 1976. Since 1997, our school has been using computers to manage data files. In 2004, the data file directory database was established by using the data file management system, which gradually replaced the manual directory query, improved the speed and accuracy of data file retrieval, simplified the production process of file retrieval directory, and greatly improved the efficiency of data file management.
The geological data preserved in our school mainly include archived scientific research achievements, topographic maps and geological reports, graduate dissertations, etc. There are two kinds of confidential information, one is the basic surveying and mapping results produced by the National Basic Geographic Information Center, which belongs to state secrets; The other is the national non-public geological data belonging to the National Geological Archives. In recent years, our school has formed a set of practical and standardized management system in the process of borrowing, purchasing and using "national non-public geological data" and "national secret basic surveying and mapping results data". In 20 1 1 year, according to the requirements of the state on strengthening the security management of classified materials, our library systematically cleaned and checked topographic maps and other classified materials, which ensured the safe use of classified materials from the system and measures.
In the construction of data file information resources, our school scans and digitizes paper data files in batches. The digitization of data files not only protects paper files, but also greatly improves the efficiency of file utilization. At present, the digitization of data files in our school is progressing in an orderly manner. The digitization of collection materials is organized by the archives themselves, and professional scanning companies are entrusted to scan, make and check the storage. Up to now, our school has invested nearly one million yuan in archives digitization, equipped with a dedicated server for storing archives data and a large-capacity disk array, and the archives digitization rate has reached 60%.
Geological data are also widely used in the fields of environment, engineering, urban construction and transportation. According to the situation, different universities have different management forms of geological data. For example, in some comprehensive universities with geosciences, the management department is located in the geosciences department. However, in some universities without geoscience majors, some scientific research work involves the use of geological data. In this case, the management of geological data is still absent, there is no special management department responsible for the management of geological data, and the safety management of geological data obtained by scientific researchers through application is out of touch.
2.2 the role and effect of the game
The informatization of data files will become an important part of the overall pattern of "digital campus" construction. At present, the information construction of university archives is being vigorously promoted, and the construction of digital archives in many universities in China is also in full swing. Individual colleges and universities have a high level of confidentiality because their scientific research results involve national defense and national military security. For the sake of security, traditional manual and physical methods are still used for material management. 3. Countermeasures and suggestions to speed up the digital construction and information management of geological data in colleges and universities
