Remarkable achievements have been made in the fields of structural geology, geomechanics and ore field structure. In particular, he has made outstanding contributions in the process of assisting his tutor Professor Yang Kaiqing to establish the theory of dynamic diagenesis and mineralization, which has theoretical and practical significance for studying regional structure, formation and distribution of ore deposits and guiding ore prospecting.

In this paper, the tectonic dynamic adjustment of crustal materials is deeply discussed. The representative works include: the preliminary study of the movement procedure of Dabie block, some problems of tectonic dynamic geochemistry, the tectonic dynamic adjustment of crustal materials in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and the relationship between broom tectonic stress field and material field.

In the research on the genesis and exhumation mechanism of Dabie Mountain ultrahigh pressure metamorphic rocks, it is advantageous to actively participate in the international frontier competition in understanding the basic structural division of Dabie Mountain collision orogenic belt, UHP rock deformation and exhumation mechanism, deep geology of Dabie Mountain orogenic belt and foreland geological exploration. Firstly, the idea of dividing the north-south terrane is put forward (199 1,1993). For the first time, a new viewpoint (1999) is put forward on the new genesis of UHP rocks in Dabie Mountains-continental point collision and UHP metamorphism. A model of differential uplift of Dabie orogenic belt and two-stage exhumation of UHP rocks-reverse wedge-shaped extension mechanism (1996, 1998) is proposed.

He first participated in and organized the deep geological research and exploration of Dabie Mountain, completed magnetotelluric sounding profiles (1992, 1993) and wide-angle reflection seismic profiles (1994, 1996) across Dabie Mountain, and obtained the first batch of crustal physical parameters and crustal structure information of Dabie Mountain.

He presided over the national scientific special project "Deep Exploration Technology and Experimental Research" (2008-20 12) and started the China Deep Exploration Plan. Responsible for three-dimensional geology and mineralization in Central Asia (1994- 1997), China and Germany (1998-2000), China and Russia, Harmon, North Korea (12.5 million) and China-East-North Asia. The five countries have published more than 50 papers1,including 40 SCI papers and 4 monographs, as well as other international cooperation projects, such as the Deep Process of East Asia and the Effects of Resources and Environment (20 1 15).
