He has been engaged in the teaching and research of magnetism and magnetic materials for a long time, and studied the relationship between magnetism, magnetic transport properties and material composition and microstructure. The large magnetic entropy change effect of manganese perovskite compounds and the tunneling magnetoresistance effect in the small particle system of manganese perovskite compounds were studied. The small size effect and surface effect of magnetic nanoparticles, as well as the correlation between giant magnetoresistance effect, magneto-optical effect, abnormal Hall effect and particle film microstructure were studied. At present, the magnetic and spin-related transport properties of nanomaterials are mainly studied.

In addition, in 1980s, the magnetic sequence in high-temperature superconductors was studied by Mossbauer effect with Fe57 as a probe, and it was found that superconductivity and magnetic sequence existed * * *, and the 3d elements of YBCO high-temperature superconducting materials were replaced, which provided experimental basis for the exploration of superconducting mechanism.

He has compiled books such as Ferrite 10 (including co-editing), published more than 450 SCI papers with scientific research team members, and was cited by more than 2,600 SCI papers. He has published more than 200 papers in domestic academic journals and won national invention patents 19 and utility models 1.
