Academician Ge Baofeng is a native of Laoting, Hebei Province. He is a first-class professional and special-grade civilian. 19/kloc-0 was born in February/9,/kloc-0 joined the work in August/949,/kloc-0 joined the army in September/956, and/kloc-0 joined the party in September/978. He has served as the attending physician of the First Army Hospital of Northwest Military Region, deputy chief physician, chief physician and director of trauma orthopedics of Lanzhou General Hospital of Lanzhou Military Region. He enjoyed the special government allowance of the State Council, won the Third Class Merit for three times, 1987 participated in the second model association of the whole army, 1989 was commended as a national model worker and advanced worker, attended the National Day ceremony of the 40th anniversary of the founding of New China, and 1999 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering.

He has compiled 8 monographs including Practical Orthopaedics, Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics, and published nearly 500 papers, which is called "Medical University on the Ancient Silk Road".
