Irony is pretending to be ignorant and making stupid remarks in front of an opponent who thinks he is smart, but in the end these stupid remarks are proved to be true, thus making the opponent who thinks he is smart make a fool of himself. It is the dislocation between the superficial meaning and the real meaning to be expressed.
Paradox shows two contradictory aspects in the text, such as: "Some people are dead, but he is alive, he is dead, and some people are alive." Irony, on the other hand, is that the superficial meaning of language is inconsistent with the true meaning.
