Define variables Select the menu variable view in the lower left corner, enter the variable name t, and other options remain unchanged. Draw a line and enter the variable.
Name g Other options remain unchanged, switch to data view (lower left corner) to copy data.
Step 2: Conduct data analysis: Select Analysis-Correlation-Bivariate in the top menu of spss.
The box with G and T on the left is the source variable box, and the blank box behind is the analysis variable box. Now we need to analyze the relationship between g and t, so we choose g and t in the source variable box to analyze in the analysis variable box.
(1) correlation coefficient includes three options:
Pearson: Pearson correlation, which calculates the correlation analysis between continuous variables or variables measured at equal intervals;
Kendall: Kendall correlation, which calculates the rank correlation between rank variables;
Spearman: Spearman correlation, calculate Spearman rank correlation.
Note: Pearson can be used to analyze ① continuous variables with unknown distribution and unequal interval measurement.
Kendall can be used to analyze ① continuous variables with unknown distribution and unequally spaced measurements, ② discrete variables with complete grades, and ③ data that do not obey binary normal distribution or whose overall distribution type is unknown. The second situation can only be analyzed by Kendall.
Spearman can be used to analyze data that do not obey binary normal distribution or whose overall distribution type is unknown.
(2) significance test options
Two-tailed: two-tailed test, which can be selected if the correlation direction (positive correlation or negative correlation) is not known in advance;
Single tail: single tail inspection, if you know the relevant direction in advance, you can choose.
(3) Marked significant correlation: indicating the level of significance. If this option is selected, the significance level in the upper right corner of the correlation coefficient value is 5%, and the significance level in the output result with * * is 1%.
First use pearson, two-tailed (below), and click the option on the right.
Statistics is statistics, including mean and standard deviation, cross product variance and covariance.

Output results (as follows)
The correlation coefficient was 0.975 and the significance was p = 0.000.
Select Kendall Kendall, and the results are as follows:
Choose Spearman, Spearman, and the results are as follows:
Draw a scatter plot: Select Graph-Scatter Plot/Point-Simple Scatter Plot-Definition.
