On comedy sketches in performances

Comic sketches are the product of the times. Comedy and richness are the main characteristics of comedy sketches. Comedy brings sunshine and color to our life. As a form of comedy, comedy sketches are active on various stages, bringing us countless laughter and adding a lot of luster to our lives. In the performance, the role of comedy sketch is self-evident, and comedy sketch is very important to me. Starting with the definition, skills and functions of comedy sketches, this paper discusses the comedy sketches in performances.

Many people like to watch comedy sketches, but they don't know much about them. Broadly speaking, comedy sketch is a form of comedy and a derivative of drama. Or sketch, short play, is the shortest and smallest drama. Specifically, comedy refers to short (usually about 15 to 20 minutes) drama jokes performed by one or two actors or even many people. There is a simple story, through dialogue and action, to complete one or two comedy effects, usually on stage or on TV. Compared with other art forms, comedy sketches are more like a silhouette in real life, and stories that happen on the stage can find a shadow in reality.

There are many ways to express comedy sketches, and their expressions are embodied in four aspects:

(1) Language: The language of comedy sketches must have four characteristics: action, personality, full emotion and concise life. Speak loudly and clearly. The sound quality is pleasant and infectious, which makes people enjoy beauty and even produces emotional sounds. At the same time, be good at expressing simple sentences. Master the rhythm of lines and the personality skills of language. Read sentences rhythmically. Emphasis and pause must be logical;

(2) Form: We often say that the three basic elements of an actor on the stage are really listening, really watching, really feeling, really communicating with opponents and really living on the stage, so form is one of the best means. However, the body movements on the stage should not only be close to our normal life, but also be different from life and have a sense of reality on the stage. Must have a sense of modeling, expressive, can not have a fixed program;

(3) Expression: Although the expression is small, it is extremely important. Rich facial expressions can make the performance more perfect. For the audience, the face is the part where they stare for the longest time while enjoying the program. For example, when an excellent comedian is performing, even if the audience can't hear the lines, they can know the development of the plot. In this way, the contribution of expression is self-evident;

(4) Singing: As a form of expression in the performing arts, if comedy sketches can use singing instead of language according to the needs of the plot in some situations, they will often receive unexpected results, which not only enriches the expressive power of actors, but also enables the audience to enjoy more auditory arts.

This is the magic of comedy sketches, which are light and humorous but extremely profound. For the audience, it is a good thing that comedy is effective, but for the actors, the education brought by comedy can not be given by other forms of performance, mainly reflected in:

(1) Comic sketches can help actors break through themselves, build up their self-confidence and diversify their performance styles. Whether an actor can create a successful role image is composed of many factors, and self-confidence is the most basic factor. Obviously, comedy sketches are a good medicine for actors to overcome morbid inferiority. The relaxed and pleasant atmosphere created by comedy is incomparable to other operas. In such an atmosphere, the actor's self-confidence will naturally be established. With self-confidence and breaking through self-restraint, it is possible to develop in an all-round way and realize the diversification of one's own style;

(2) Comic sketches can help us overcome the excessive tension in performance. Nervousness is a kind of unrelenting performance of people psychologically and emotionally. It is common for actors to be nervous in performances. But only by relaxing, the actors can perform naturally, and they can mobilize and use their organs at will to serve the shaping of characters. Once the actor's sensory system is out of control due to excessive tension, there will be a passive situation of turning a blind eye and turning a deaf ear. His actions can only be accomplished mechanically by the script or the director's regulations and the handling of the role's actions, which is absolutely forbidden in performance. With its distinctive style and exaggerated expression, comedy sketches provide a free and brisk performance environment for performers, which is an effective way for most actors to overcome their nervousness.

(3) Crosstalk sketch is still an effective means to train actors. Drama performance is different from drama and tragedy. Its unique style is humorous exaggeration, but exaggeration does not mean that actors can blindly and arbitrarily exaggerate. The solid foundation is the realism generated by faith, and the restrictive standard is the psychological foundation of the actors and the overall style of the whole situation. Therefore, it is not easy for an actor to maintain a sense of reality, have sufficient psychological foundation and properly shape a vivid cartoon character that conforms to the overall style. The creative task of comedy sketch performance art requires that the stage characters created by actors have aesthetic value and achieve the harmonious unity of truth, goodness and beauty, which is the requirement of both creators and audiences.

The days without laughter are like the silent film era. Even if it is a classic, it will still be eliminated by society. For us, this era is full of light and progress. As a member of the world, we not only need to accept all kinds of new things, but also need to enrich ourselves with art. Although comedy sketches appear soon, both the audience and the stage need comedy sketches, which are an indispensable part. Comic sketches have become one of the mainstream of performing arts and this era. We are about to engage in performing arts, and we need to exercise ourselves and improve our creative ability through comic sketches. I believe that comedy sketches will eventually leave a brilliant stroke in the long river of art.
