According to the coordinate distribution position of the hole, it is processed once to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the coordinate position of the hole. As a special part of modular machine tool, headstock has mature and fixed design patterns: standard headstock, front and rear side covers, spindle, transmission shaft, gear shaft and bearing. , and mature transmission, layout and structural design methods to choose from. This is the advantage of modular machine tool design and manufacture. However, according to the requirements of manufacturing technology and assembly parts, how to apply and innovate flexibly in design to better meet the needs of machining workpieces is a subject before our modular machine tool designers. Recently, we have made a beneficial attempt to the YU02 exhaust pipe joint modular machine tool designed by Chongqing Heli Company, and achieved good results.

2 workpiece processing requirements analysis

YU02 exhaust pipe joint is processed according to the design drawings of an imported machinery factory in Japan. It is an important part connecting the engine and the exhaust pipe with high technical requirements. The process block diagram of the workpiece is shown in figure 1.
