Chinese periodicals: China HowNet finds the corresponding periodicals, corresponding years and serial numbers, and then can take screenshots or print them into pdf with a virtual printer.
In most cases, it is no problem to find the catalogue and cover of Chinese periodicals.
English periodicals:
The most common way is to search in official website, which is also the simplest and most convenient way. However, we can't find some periodicals with corresponding years in official website, so we recommend the following methods.
First, you need to make sure whether you have a bound version of this journal. Otherwise, there will be no separate cover and table of contents. For example, Nature Newsletter, our common sub-publication of Nature, was published on the Internet without a cover and a table of contents, and many people couldn't find it after searching for a long time.
Here, we recommend a method to find out whether a journal is bound into a book: directly call the Document Information Center of China Academy of Sciences at 010-82626611and ask the staff to check it for you, which is simple and convenient. If there is a corresponding paper version, you can pay the staff to scan it for you, and the price is very cheap. You can issue an invoice and send it to your mailbox later.
