Do Japanese majors have to study in Japan?
I am a sophomore studying Japanese, and I will go abroad next semester in my junior year. I think I have a good say in whether to study Japanese abroad. Not only learning Japanese, all language learners have this worry, that is, whether to go abroad or not.

Let's talk about the benefits of going abroad first!

1, learning a language in the target country will make progress more easily.

The process of learning a language is to keep learning and then keep practicing. Living in a culture that specializes in using foreign languages, you will be forced to learn and practice your language skills! In the target country, no matter where you go, you will come into contact with local people, and you will make greater progress in learning foreign languages in such a language environment.

2. Learn more about a place and improve your cultural literacy.

Studying in Japan will inevitably expose you to the local culture. Because of digital innovation, global connection and the convenience of global transportation, the world is getting smaller and smaller. But at the same time, because each of us has brought our world view to the table, the gap between cultures is getting bigger and bigger. Immersion learning language has taught us a lot-the most important thing is to look at the inside from another angle. You will also make new friends and enrich your knowledge.

3. Grow up and become a better self.

Studying abroad means living alone and coping with the life of daily necessities. Any new experience will help you grow and become a better person. After all, life is about the journey, not the destination. Studying abroad is not only to learn a language, but also to exercise a person's viability.

Finally, there is a practical reason. Some jobs will also recruit people who have studied in the target country.

Having said that, I still feel that going abroad is a personal choice, and it is also a choice not to go abroad to learn a language in China. Family conditions should also be considered when going abroad, and foreign consumption is still relatively high. But in my opinion, if you have the conditions, you'd better go out and have a look. The world is so big, there will always be gains.
