University is a transitional stage of a person's maturity and society. At present, college students' self-control ability is poor, they are impulsive, and they are not bound by teachers and parents, so they are prone to deviation when dealing with various situations. [1] There are many problems, which bring many troubles to individuals, families and society. Can't help but make people think deeply: What happened to college students now? How do college students position themselves correctly and know themselves? How can home-school associations help college students to establish correct life values? This study is devoted to improving college students' self-awareness and improving their mental health level by helping them establish correct self-awareness.

First, research methods.

research objects

In this study, undergraduates from Jilin University, Northeast Normal University and Jilin Agricultural University were taken as the research objects, and 7 17 valid questionnaires were collected, including 238 males and 477 females, and 2 did not report their gender. Among them, Jilin University actually recycled 197 copies, Northeast Normal University actually recycled 177 copies, and Jilin Agricultural University actually recycled 343 copies.

Second, research tools.

Symptom Checklist SCL-90. SCL-90 aims to evaluate individual mental health symptoms from the aspects of feeling, emotion, thinking, behavior, living habits, interpersonal relationships, diet and sleep. The scale includes 90 items and 9 subscales, which are somatization, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, terror, paranoia and psychosis. Investigate the basic health status of college students through nine dimensions.

Three main research methods

① Questionnaire survey: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 765,438+07 college students from Jilin University, Northeast Normal University and Jilin Agricultural University.

(2) Literature consulting method: refer to relevant literature through books and the Internet.

Four statistical analysis

SPSS 2 1.0 software package was used for analysis.

Second, the research results

Mental health level of college students

The total score of Scl-90 is greater than 160, accounting for 39.0%; At least one factor score is greater than or equal to 3, accounting for 24.0%, and the proportion of each factor is as follows: somatization 2.9%, obsessive-compulsive symptoms 15.4%, interpersonal sensitivity 12.3%, depression 7.7%, anxiety 7.3%, hostility 8. 1%, and terror 5.

Second, the gender differences in mental health of college students

F test showed that boys scored significantly higher than girls in six dimensions: obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, hostility, paranoia and psychosis. As shown in table 1:

* significantly correlated at 0.05 level, * * significantly correlated at 0.0 1 level and * * significantly correlated at 0.00 1 level, the same below.

Differences of mental health among students of three majors on whether they are only children.

There are significant differences in the mental health status of college students on whether they are only children, as shown in Table 2:

Fourthly, there is a significant difference between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and interpersonal sensitivity in schools.

Compared with Jida East Teacher, Agricultural University is more prominent in obsessive-compulsive symptoms and interpersonal sensitivity. As shown in Table 3:

Grade differences of mental health level among students of five majors.

As shown in Table 4, the average level of somatization and depression in lower grades is lower than that in upper grades:

Three. discuss

A gender difference

There are significant differences between male and female college students in six dimensions of obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, hostility, paranoia and psychosis, especially in two dimensions of interpersonal sensitivity and obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Boys are significantly higher than girls. Perhaps influenced by China's traditional thought, boys have to face more pressure in society and are more complicated in interpersonal communication than girls. It may be easier to be suspicious and not trust others easily. [2]

Second, whether it is an only child.

There are significant differences in hostility, terror and psychosis, and non-only children are significantly higher than only children in these three dimensions. It can be seen that non-only children are more likely to have mental health problems. They need to get more attention from the school society.

Three-school difference

It is found that there are significant differences in the mental health status of college students in different universities in two dimensions: obsessive-compulsive symptoms and interpersonal sensitivity. The implementation of "happy education" in primary schools in Beijing this year can be said to be a big step in China's education reform, and it may be popularized in primary and secondary schools across the country in the future. However, as a university, it should aim at cultivating top talents in the country, so the university education system should be more rigorous. Schools should be stricter with students. If "happy education" is implemented in the whole country in the future, the burden of primary and secondary school students will be lightened, and they will continue to relax after going to college. I am afraid that education in China will only go further and further than that in western countries, instead of catching up. Therefore, universities should be rigorous in running schools and contribute to the development of college students in all aspects.

Fourth grade difference

Research shows that senior students, especially senior students, are more significant in somatization and depression than junior students. Senior students have to face problems such as choosing a job, taking the postgraduate entrance examination and getting married, so there will inevitably be a lot of anxiety in the process of leaving school and entering the society. On the contrary, junior students are still in the joy of entering the university, and there is not much trouble. Here, I hope that schools and society will carry out more activities to help college students mature their personalities. At the same time, create more opportunities to help college students start their own businesses and avoid various social problems.

Four. conclusion

This study investigated 800 post-90s college students from three universities in Changchun. Selected and investigated the "post-90 s" groups with their own characteristics; In the choice of subjects, the influence of school, only child and other factors was fully considered, and the corresponding investigation was made.

The research shows that there are gender and grade differences, and boys, freshmen and seniors, non-only children and universities with low academic qualifications need more attention. University life is not only to acquire knowledge, but also to learn to be a mature and quality person. Only with quality can we talk about learning knowledge. It's not easy to help college students mature and be a quality person. [4] Families, schools, individuals and society need to work together. Psychological development is a subtle process, and environmental factors play a key role. Therefore, the school society should help students create a positive and optimistic atmosphere. Parents should help their children establish correct values and set goals that suit their interests. Furthermore, college students should learn to choose, refuse the temptation of society, and be a mature and quality college student. Finally, college students are the successors of the motherland, and I hope their mental health development can get the attention of the whole society. Through university education, more qualified and mature talents will be delivered to the society. ?
