Yu Ben edited and published Experiencing English and other influential textbooks in the whole province and even the whole country, which is the textbook of the tenth five-year plan for general higher education in China. Among them, the series "College Basic English" edited by Professor Li Xiaoxiang of our department won the second prize of the National Excellent Textbook for Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education in 2002; College English in the New Century was awarded the title of Excellent Recommended Textbook in the Tenth Five-Year Plan by the Ministry of Education. In addition, many books have won various provincial and ministerial awards and achieved considerable social benefits.

Two sets of multimedia courseware (College English Intensive Reading (Revised Edition) and College English Comprehensive Course *** 16 CD) developed by our college have been published by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press, and have been used in nearly 500 colleges and universities all over the country, and won unanimous praise. College English (revised edition) multimedia teaching courseware and comprehensive practice courseware won the first prize and the third prize in the multimedia courseware competition of Jiangsu Education Department in 2002.
