Over the years, China's psychology has made great achievements in basic and applied research in cognitive psychology, biological psychology, educational psychology, organizational management psychology and other fields. How to make effective use of these psychological achievements and better accomplish the tasks of colleges and universities is one of the problems that college administrators attach great importance to. Based on the practice of colleges and universities, this paper puts forward some preliminary views on the application of psychological theory in college teacher management and student education.
Psychology, psychological quality, university education
Nowadays, science and technology in the world are advancing by leaps and bounds, and the competition of national strength is becoming increasingly fierce. The strength of national strength depends more and more on the quality and quantity of talents, which puts forward more urgent requirements for training and bringing up a new generation of college students in China in 2 1 century. Therefore, we must make new explorations in the construction of higher education, use psychological theory to expand new ideas and explore new models and methods. University management is a systematic project, which includes teaching management, scientific research management, teacher management, student management, logistics management and other subsystems. To improve the performance of school management, we must improve people's enthusiasm in school work, which is influenced by many psychological factors. Modern management applies psychological research results to the management field, and decision makers and managers analyze and master the laws of people's psychological activities in the management process, so as to realize the scientific management of people and promote the scientific management of modern management. Psychological theory is mainly applied to the management of teachers and the cultivation and management of students.
1 the application of psychological theory in the management activities of college teachers.
1. 1 "Need Theory" clarifies the psychological motivation of teachers.
Motivation refers to the stimulation that people need. Need is a subjective experience of the necessity of human survival and development conditions and a psychological reflection of human internal drive. In other words, motivation is needed, and motivation leads to behavior. Therefore, demand is the driving force of a person's behavior and the source of individual enthusiasm. To implement effective incentives, we must carefully analyze the characteristics of teachers' needs, meet teachers' reasonable needs and transform teachers' unreasonable needs.
Teachers' demand levels and general incentive factors. In the content-based motivation theory, American psychologist Maslow divides human needs into seven levels. University administrators should grasp the hierarchy of teachers' needs and its development law, and take corresponding measures according to different levels of needs, so as to combine needs with organizational goals and realize the ultimate goal of education management. Use the particularity of teachers' needs to motivate them. As a special social group, teachers' needs have obvious professional characteristics, which are mainly manifested in:
The root of material needs. Teachers, especially most teachers in our country, are influenced by traditional culture and often have low requirements for material life. However, if the basic needs of life are not guaranteed, it will often affect the enthusiasm of teachers; Moreover, with the development of society, the voice of improving teachers' material needs is getting higher and higher, which should be paid enough attention to.
Stability of development demand. To develop students, teachers must first develop themselves. The rapid development of science and technology and the constant renewal of knowledge force teachers to study and research constantly, expand the scope of knowledge and improve the level of scientific research, which is one of the most remarkable characteristics of teachers' profession. Therefore, university administrators should fully consider this need, create various opportunities and conditions, create the necessary environment, and lay the foundation for the development of teachers.
Sensitivity of self-esteem needs. Teachers ask people to pay attention to their rights, achievements, image and status in social life. If university administrators interfere with things that belong to teachers' reasonable and independent work scope and give unfair evaluation to teachers' performance, it is most likely to hurt teachers' self-esteem; Using appropriate incentives, teachers can experience that their self-esteem has been fully respected, which will often better stimulate their enthusiasm.
The intensity of achievement needs. Teachers' strong sense of responsibility and mission often makes them devote themselves to teaching and scientific research. While teaching, they strive to make achievements in their own professional fields and have a long-term, stable and persistent pursuit of science. This achievement needs to arouse enthusiasm, and enthusiasm is often strong and lasting.
According to this theory, teachers' fair and reasonable requirements can be met. Take a variety of ways to carry out teacher training; Implementing the tutorial system for young teachers; Encourage teachers to make more contributions; Measures such as optimizing the structure of teachers in dynamic balance are adopted by most colleges and universities.
1.2 create a good psychological environment by using "fairness theory"
The theory of fairness was founded by American psychologist Adams. He believes that people's work motivation is not only influenced by the absolute value of their remuneration, but also by the relative value of their remuneration. That is to say, people usually have to compare the ratio of their investment and remuneration with a person with roughly the same conditions. If the two are equal, there is a sense of fairness; If there is inequality, there is a sense of injustice.
It can be seen that a person's work enthusiasm is greatly influenced by the social comparison process, that is, people not only care about what they get, but also care about what others get. Fairness usually makes people feel comfortable and work actively and enthusiastically, while unfairness often causes negative emotions, interpersonal conflicts and affects work enthusiasm. The problem of brain drain in colleges and universities is largely due to the relatively low wages of teachers and the unfair psychological feelings of some teachers. In the process of applying fairness theory to higher education management, the most important thing is to eliminate teachers' sense of unfairness so as not to dampen their enthusiasm.
Applying the equity theory to the management of higher education also requires us to create a good psychological environment inside and outside the school, and requires the society to form an atmosphere of respecting teachers, attaching importance to teaching, respecting knowledge and respecting talents, fully affirming the status and role of teachers, and improving the unfair social distribution.
Now many colleges and universities have taken corresponding measures according to this principle, such as: correctly evaluating and treating teachers; Linked with performance, rewarding teachers fairly, etc. , have achieved good results.

2. 1 Promote class management by using social psychological dynamic mechanism.
Student management regulations, class collective goals, class collective public opinion and class collective norms constitute the dynamic system of class collective. Under the norm and pressure of the class collective dynamic system, students often show social psychological phenomena such as conformity and obedience, such as observing the work and rest system, getting up on time in the morning, tidying up housework and doing exercises. Conformity and obedience occur under the pressure of norms and groups. It is just a compromise made by individuals who don't want to be excluded or sanctioned by the collective, and it is not a real change in voluntary action and attitude. Therefore, the application of dynamic mechanism in class management should not only be satisfied with this, but also pay attention to using the power of example to promote students to imitate the social and psychological phenomena, so as to improve class management qualitatively. "Learn to be a teacher and be a model", and the role of teachers as educators makes teachers inevitably become role models for students in the process of education and teaching. Therefore, it is an important way to encourage students to imitate and produce identity behavior by paying attention to their words and deeds and following the example of progressive students in the class. For young students, imitation appears on the basis of social cognition, and its occurrence is completely voluntary; Identification goes further than imitation, including the consistency of cognition, emotion and behavior, so it has more positive significance and can promote students to learn from role models consciously and actively. Teachers should strengthen students' positive behaviors in time, encourage them to appear frequently, and internalize them into students' own personality characteristics.
2.2 the application of group theory in student management
At present, students' organizations in colleges and universities mainly take classes (league branches) as units. There are class cadres selected by various means or designated by teachers in classes, and classes are the most basic formal groups in colleges and universities. In addition, various officially registered societies and student organizations produced by student elections or campaigns also belong to formal groups. In colleges and universities, there are some small groups composed of people with the same interests or the same interests, emotions, hobbies or close relationships, which are called informal groups.
Colleges and universities are places where young students learn scientific and cultural knowledge and form and establish their outlook on life. Compared with the formal group, the informal group of college students has the characteristics of spontaneous formation, emotional ties, naturally formed leaders, strong group consciousness, smooth information transmission channels and obvious exclusiveness and self-defense.
It is necessary and beneficial to strengthen the management of informal groups of students that exist in reality but are separated from formal groups. For the latter, it can ensure that the goal of comprehensively promoting quality education and student management can be achieved smoothly and orderly. On the basis of psychological group theory, Huazhong Normal University, China Geo University, Yangtze University and other universities have made rational use of informal groups to serve student management, adopted different methods to treat different types of informal groups, attached importance to the role of "leaders" in informal groups, improved and innovated student management, and improved the centripetal force of informal groups to formal groups, and achieved gratifying results.
2 1 century will be the century in which knowledge economy will dominate. As the frontier of knowledge economy reform, colleges and universities have begun to widely use the achievements of psychology. As an important part of the national knowledge innovation project, it is an arduous task for Chinese psychologists to carry out the basic and applied research of psychology, communication psychology's knowledge and applied psychological achievements. The knowledge innovation of psychology can not only improve the overall knowledge innovation ability of our country, but also the innovation ability as the research object of psychology, and its research results will also promote the innovation of other disciplines and the development of the innovation ability of the whole nation. With the implementation of China's western development strategy, economic globalization and information technology revolution will have an impact on people's lives and work, and many new social and economic problems related to psychology will inevitably appear, which need psychologists to study and solve.
