What's the difference between a doctorate and a doctorate? Does China admit it?
China does not recognize doctoral dissertations. First of all, doctoral dissertations abound in Japan. The author is an engineer and has been wandering in Japan for more than ten years. I have also been teaching in a university for 89 years. I have never heard the Japanese say that "course doctor" and "thesis doctor" are "genuine" or "parallel". I don't feel that anyone "looks down" on the doctoral thesis. "Course doctor" and "thesis doctor" have the same effect in Japan. When applying for a job in a university, there is nothing inconvenient about doctoral thesis. The key is academic level. More than half of my current department are doctoral dissertations (mostly from companies or research institutes). They are all highly professional researchers. In my major, many famous scholars are also doctoral dissertations (these people are also famous internationally). Generally speaking, first-class universities (such as old imperial universities) should have more than five doctoral dissertations by the first author, and (masters) should have more than five years of research experience (bachelor's degree should have longer research experience). Very good people sometimes make exceptions. Second-rate universities (such as ordinary national universities) must have at least three papers by the first author. A doctor's degree in a first-class university must have more than three papers. Second-rate universities should have 1 or more papers for their doctoral programs. You can get a doctorate if you have achievements. Why not do it? Therefore, few Japanese enter the doctoral program (for economic reasons, on the one hand, it is really difficult to find a job after graduation. For many Japanese parents, even the master's program is against their children going to school. The economic burden is heavy. After graduating from college, parents' responsibilities are over. On the contrary, many foreign students enter doctoral programs. Because you have just come to Japan, you can't go to graduate school to do research, nor can you go to university to teach. Several gentlemen said that the Japanese doctoral thesis was "a gift". This view has some truth (but it is also one-sided), because in Japan, professors have the final say. Some prominent people, a doctoral thesis, have nothing to make a fuss about (no intention to deceive people with this title). It is understandable that some Japanese professors "send" doctoral dissertations to international students in China. First, these Japanese professors are often people who like China and "know" China. I will tell other professors that China's essays are essays (no matter what they think). Secondly, this is your doctor. You have no real skills, at least not in Japan. At most, after you enter the company, you will be given a symbolic half salary. There is nothing wrong with China's denial of doctoral thesis. To prevent those people from returning to China to deceive people, they should! ! ! However, you can't say that doctoral dissertations are "parallel imports" (conversely, there are many "parallel imports" of doctoral courses. )。 For those international students studying in Japan, please check the resumes of teachers in your department, and you will find that many scholars are "parallel imports". Maybe your tutor is one of them! ! ! The author thinks that doctoral thesis is meaningful in Japan. The author is the beneficiary. A Japanese professor joked that your doctoral thesis is worth 30 million yen (tuition, salary, etc. ), that makes sense! ! ! )。 (
