Manual automobile braking can be divided into the following types according to different situations: braking operation methods: engine braking operation method, combined braking operation method, intermittent braking operation method, predictive parking operation method and emergency braking operation method.
1. 1 Operation method of braking
Generally, slow parking at low speed (below 10km/h) is different from normal slow parking. After receiving oil, step on the clutch pedal first, and then step on the brake pedal to slow down and stop.
1.2 operation method of engine braking:
In the braking mode of reducing the vehicle speed through the resistance of the engine after receiving oil, the lower the gear, the greater the resistance. Usually suitable for long slopes, steep slopes, ice and snow roads, muddy roads and other situations where it is not convenient to step on the brakes.
1.3 Operation method of combined braking
When driving at a speed higher than 10km/h, in case of any situation, first collect oil with your right foot, and then step on the brake pedal with one foot. Don't step on the clutch pedal too early, and make full use of the combination of engine braking and brake braking to slow down the car. When the vehicle speed drops below10km/h, press the clutch pedal to stop.
1.4 Operation method of intermittent braking
Suitable for snow and ice roads in winter and muddy roads in summer. A special braking method when the brakes can't be pressed. The operation method is as follows: when braking, first collect the oil, then step on the brake pedal and gradually increase the braking force. When the wheel is about to lock, immediately lift the brake pedal, and then press the brake pedal. It is estimated that the brake pedal will be pressed again when the wheel is about to lock. If this operation is repeated, the car will get the best braking effect. Avoid braking on the slippery road to make the car out of control. Xing Coach suggested that every time you step on the brake pedal, you should keep a certain braking force and don't step on it completely.
1.5 operation method for predicting parking.
This is the most common braking method during driving. It refers to the purposeful deceleration and parking action taken by the driver in advance in anticipation of the changes of vehicles, pedestrians and roads ahead. The operation method is as follows: firstly, collect the engine oil, and use engine braking and intermittent braking to control the speed to reach the parking place. When the vehicle speed drops to 10km/h, step on the clutch pedal, and then lightly step on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle at the predetermined position.
1.6 operation method of emergency braking
Emergency stop measures taken to avoid accidents when encountering unexpected situations during driving. Xing suggested that emergency braking is very harmful to all parts of the car, so don't use it easily unless you have to.
Operation method: In case of emergency, quickly collect oil with your right foot, press the brake pedal, hold the steering wheel with your left hand, lean back, and quickly tighten the handbrake with your right hand. Don't step on the clutch with your left foot, press it on the floor and make full use of the engine resistance. So as to achieve the effect of emergency stop.
