Speculation and Position is a brain-burning book, but it is the most influential book I read every year. Reading a book is like meeting someone. Every meeting is at the right time, and my meeting with this book is also at the right time. After a period of accumulation and experience, I need such a precipitation process to concretize what I have experienced and internalize it into my own model.
We are born relaxed and happy, and in the process of continuous experience and growth, we bear some gifts and burdens, as well as some debts. By the middle of life, we began to fall into bad debts, woke up and took off the shells that were put on us one by one, so that our true part was revealed. It is easy to form a pattern, because we are a blank sheet of paper from the beginning, and any graffiti we do is increased. However, if you want to return to the state of blank paper, you need to scrub first, clean up the traces one by one, and look at the traces with enough courage and strength. Then draw a picture of our life, that is the meaning of life.
In the daily life that everyone experiences, many decisions make up everyone's different life. Some decisions are unconscious and natural, and this is the power of habit. Some decisions are considered, and that is the power of thinking. Only a few decisions are made after careful consideration and relatively complete verification and discussion. The first two parts are the most easily overlooked. If you don't want to act directly, such as watching your mobile phone, such as smoking, it is a habitual action. For example, breakfast, I'm used to eating those daily diets, and I haven't thought about nutrition advice, or what kind of breakfast our body really needs, our future health, the impact of future health on our family and so on. What kind of breakfast should we have now? These are unconscious decisions, and unconscious behavior is affecting us.
There are also some decisions that have been carefully considered in our current cognitive model. However, before reading this book, I didn't realize that what I thought was actually very misleading. Emotional preference and cognitive preference will bring some errors and deviations to our thinking. There is a deviation in the information collection stage, so we are more sensitive to the information we like. In the decision-making of thinking, it is also difficult to put aside the limitations of known patterns and boundaries, and the goal and reasoning process are not clear enough. We feel an answer or decision ourselves, thinking that this is what we want, and make such a decision or choice.
This is the lack of speculation, which affects our life trajectory and brings a different pattern to our experience.
Therefore, we need to rationally understand their decision-making mode and how to really work and live with rational thinking. What I can't break through in my works may be caused by my own one-sidedness and lack of speculation. In my life, the helplessness and unhappiness I feel are also brought about by the laziness of formal speculation.
Fortunately, at this moment, I met such an author, Richard Paul, who carefully opened the process and system of speculation to me and explained it. Some chapters seem straightforward, and I can see my own pain, but I didn't avoid it. Facing all the pain is the best way to grow up quickly.
The human spirit or human mind has three parts: emotion, reason and desire. What we perceive most easily is emotion, and what we find most difficult is the lack of rationality under the control of desire.
Emotional changes will directly affect our rational thinking. When the mood changes, it is difficult for each of us to think objectively and comprehensively. This is because our energy and attention are used to deal with and cope with our emotions. The more emotional fermentation, the greater the energy consumption. Every time we go through the process of losing our temper, our bodies will feel tired, weak and soft. This is caused by energy consumption, and we need time and space to recover our body energy. In emotional moments, we will make decisions, but there are also some ideas that guide us to see and focus. These unconscious decision-making tendencies have become insurmountable obstacles and misleading in our rational thinking in the future, and they are also our limitations.
The change of mood suppresses rational thinking. And if our desires and needs are not met, it will constantly stimulate our emotions. Only when needs and desires are objectively seen and accepted, can we admit and accept our own desires, or when needs are met, the module of rational thinking in human mind begins to be awakened for speculation, and two inner villains begin to work, ask questions and talk to themselves. The more actively we work on the rational side, the faster we can get out of our emotions and the stronger our ability to grasp our desires.
Desire is one of the driving forces of human growth, development and evolution, and the existence of some desires is what we really need. Desire will stimulate the power of practice and the rational systematic thinking process, which is the source of creativity. People who have no desire will not give full play to their creativity.
In this book, we focus on self-speculation and don't need to speculate with others. Our first concern is the process of internalization. At the end of each chapter, there is a small box that says what I learned in this chapter, how I did it, what my current behavior is in this chapter, and what is the result of my thinking about each question according to the questions reminded in the book.
A good book, like an old friend and a close old friend, acts as our own mirror, so that we can see our true appearance in the mirror, so frank and true, without any disguise, because the field created by the author between the lines is very friendly and safe.
What kind of person I want to be, what is most important to me and what is not important to me. These problems, seemingly short-lived, need us to face them seriously and quietly. What kind of person you become and what kind of life you live need a long time to explore and explore before you can show it. The process is not easy, but when you face it, it is the beginning.
In the process of reading this book, I saw my own pattern. Behind every emotion is an unmet need, and behind every emotion is an invisible pattern. Seeing the pattern is an epiphany, and it is also the beginning of deliberately practicing the new pattern.
For example, I see my troubles, which are emotional problems at work. I often feel emotional fluctuations, although I try to control myself, in order to reflect my professionalism and image. But in those moments, controlling and suppressing emotions is very energy-consuming and painful. My focus is on how to control my emotions. It is difficult to accept the contents discussed during the meeting, to generate effective insight and to exchange views effectively. Of course, it is almost impossible to acquire effective and constructive knowledge.
Through the method practice in books, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the emotion is generated because the demand is calling. Needs are recognized, thanked, appreciated and recognized. How did I generate these needs? After introspection, I found these needs because there is an internal model. My model is that all my efforts are for the company and the boss, so I need to get rewards from other people I think are important, such as recognition, appreciation and so on. So, what kind of person do I want to be and what are the reasons for everything I do at work? In an enterprise, everyone should do something, and they are also doing what they should do in their posts. The gratitude of others is not set by the original intention of the post.
I am doing things for the post, completing the post function, and doing well or not is determined by my own ability. Why should I be linked to other people's approval? I saw my childhood model and longed for the recognition and appreciation of my family, because only in those words can I feel my family's love for me and make myself feel less bad and valuable.
Now, I have passed the age of no doubt, and my inner model is still in my childhood. No wonder it's so hard and tired. Do I realize my ability? Do I think I have such ability in my present job? These are my own questions. Can I recognize myself? Have I clearly thought about my ability matching and the results of the work I should do in this position?
As a result, after careful consideration, everything became my own responsibility, and I should have realized these values. Every position has requirements. What we pay in our work, whether we do more or less, is our own choice and decision. Do not work for the boss, do not work hard for the enterprise.
When the rules are clear, our thinking will be clear and our goals will be clear. When we put all the power of decision and action on ourselves, our inner needs will be relaxed. I am responsible for my own work. On the one hand, I do things, on the other hand, I grow from what I do. These are not decisions that can be made by counting on the approval of superiors. What I do is what I want to do, and what others say doesn't matter. Whether it is approved or not, it is understandable and irrelevant. What I need to pay attention to is how I grew up and how I view my achievements in my current job.
Yes, after this model is mined, what new model should I replace it with?
This is the importance of rational thinking. The final clear and rational speculative process is the process of our wisdom.
I saw my own model. The new model is that I want to do everything myself. What I care about is the evaluation and interaction of a few people, family members and relatives. , not everyone. This is especially true at work. If you don't set yourself anything important at work, you will put down your expectations. In the new model, am I satisfied with myself, am I satisfied with the results, and have I learned anything from what I have done? These have become my new mode, replacing the old external mode and relaxing myself.
We can't pay more for the recognition of others, to sacrifice my health, stay up late, be anxious, or even sacrifice my own happiness and lose the original intention of life. How I look at myself in the mirror is the beginning of our recognition of ourselves and the beginning of letting go of our evaluation of others. The power to look inward comes from our courage to face ourselves. We can't face ourselves in the mirror, so we have to expect recognition and evaluation from the outside world to enrich ourselves and make up for our lack of understanding of ourselves. Borrowism is a simple shortcut because it doesn't require courage. As long as we are willing, the outside world has a lot of comments on me. Pick one at random, saving the effort of self-rigor and modest thinking. We are also naturally lazy and are more likely to become borrowers. But this is harmful to the release of self-awareness and burden. Misleading yourself, but also misleading the search and experience of the meaning of life itself, it will be a regret in life.
What I want to do, that is, what I want to be, can be described in a few words. I want to grow myself and help the world. To be a simple and clear person, a gentleman should not limit himself, do what he should and should not do. Who I become is a multiple-choice question for myself. Paying attention to the outside world, what clothes to wear and what to say will become a distraction and a black hole in our time. What you want to be is natural and clear. The way of a gentleman lies in the unity of knowing and doing, and in the natural profundity of Taoism.
I have the ultimate rational thinking about all external things, so ask myself a few more questions. then what Really? What else is there? Naturally, you will meet a clear goal in life and connect with your future as soon as possible. This connection, the energy gained, is a great empowerment for yourself.
The road ahead is always difficult. What we need is our own company first. Quietly getting along with yourself, reading, fitness, the flow of energy, and the transformation from knowledge to wisdom can make you your friend. Only when you are in contact with yourself can you take action.
As we learned in the weekend class, no matter who we meet, it is the best meeting, including meeting ourselves.
Whatever we go through is bound to happen. Without that kind of evasive if, all we can grasp is to refine and crystallize in every experience and find the wisdom that every experience hopes to teach us. Everything happens at the right time. What we learn from everything that happens is that people have different starting points. What we internalize will become in the future.
The past is the past, and all the enthusiasm I once invested is left in the past. No regrets, no regrets, it was a good time in the past, and it was also a way of presenting life. What I was eager for and desperately pursued, regardless of gains and losses, stayed at that moment, which was the most perfect encounter with that moment. Standing at every moment, we don't look back at the current enthusiasm and ourselves, but look back at the passionate scene and enthusiastic efforts, and what kind of ability we have gained to wake up today.
Others, in our hearts, are not over yet, just waiting for us to harvest and accept gifts. I often miss my grandmother who left recently. I once told her that I cherish the past and all the gains in my life. From it, I learned how to be a man, how to face life, how to be strong, and how to keep a woman's elegance, all of which I learned from my grandmother. After I saw all my studies, my four years with my grandmother became a wonderful song, a treasure and inheritance of love, not the entanglement of lovelorn love or the pain of losing the company of relatives. When I got the gift, I saw the harvest process again and again, picked up the crystal, and my yearning for my grandmother became the nourishment of my own life and the flow and inheritance of energy. I am so happy that I should be so grateful to meet my grandmother in my life. She gave me a good education, and I liked it very much. I learned humility and elegance. Therefore, if the emotional needs are met, naturally we will not expect others' love and emotional interaction at work.
In the human rational system, everything needs to be clear and objective. What we want is a goal.
At work, in an organization and team, the same is true, with their own thinking mode. In an enterprise, there is complexity when there is organization. People all exist in the nature of seeking profits, so there must be political existence and power struggle in the organization. As the core manager of an enterprise, a deep understanding and insight into human nature is one of the wisdom of enterprise management.
Managers who ignore the fundamental characteristics of human nature are not mature managers, and it is difficult to drive teams and enterprises to mature systems. When a manager lacks understanding of human nature, it will cause energy consumption to the team. Courage in the face of cruelty is the internal foundation of leadership. When we can only see the bright side of human nature, we can only work hard on the surface of the organization. Because organizations also have their own emotions and values, when the emotions of organizations are ignored, team efficiency cannot be reflected. When encountering such an organization, it is better to leave or try to play an active role. The measure of positive impact is whether you can build a positive side of the organization. Otherwise, it is difficult to win in the business war.
Rational thinking and multi-angle thinking about ourselves are the signs of our maturity. How to evaluate whether you have rational thinking?
When you can only find two solutions to a problem, then the limitations of your thinking are enormous, your critical thinking has not been established, and your rational thinking needs to be strengthened deliberately. The method of training is not to encounter a problem, look at the problem from different angles and find different angles to deepen the solution of the problem.
When we can externalize our rational thinking and reasoning mode, we will deliberately and clearly see the energy saving of rational thinking, and we will have more passion and energy to guide ourselves to the future. We can resist the consumption of emotional energy through reasoning and good perception. If we learn how to crack and further reduce irrational emotions and desires, we can experience healthier emotions and desires until we consciously continue to experience them and achieve emotional stability and correct decision-making.
Rational thinking and self-speculation can clarify your position. At work, briefly expressing your position will reduce arguments.
This is a way to improve efficiency and a sign of a person's maturity. Frequent disagreement, frequent emotional venting and arguments remind us to be aware of the model and also remind us to stop and look back. If there is no emotion, there is no argument. Every decision deserves respect, and everyone deserves respect. In an organization, our view of someone is actually mixed with the overall evaluation of a department, that is, it is not just a view of someone. Then how much we need to care about other people's opinions in an organization and a team.
Seeing the pattern is an epiphany, a letting go, a perception of the past pattern, and a subconscious awakening.
