After reading the director's notes of The Reader, I was moved by him again. To describe Hugh, I just want to use kindness. I found a soul more precious than the role he created. Kindness is his foundation and always makes people move. What impressed me most was not Hugh's politeness, his low-key unwillingness to show it, his sending tickets to girls, or his consideration for her family, but his attitude. This girl has never been regarded as a special group of leukemia. She is gentle like a handsome big brother who has known her neighbors for many years. They are talking about the most ordinary day, with no sense of distance. If I have to sum up what kind of person Hugh is, I think he is a good man. Very nice person.
