What is regional geography?
Regional geography is a branch of geography, which studies regions of different sizes on the earth. Its main purpose is to understand or define the uniqueness or characteristics of individual areas, including human and natural factors, and to study the characteristics, structure, development and changes of geographical environment in specific areas, as well as regional differentiation and interregional relations. It is one of the important branches of geography, emphasizing the study of the relationship between man and land, which not only reveals the natural characteristics of the geographical environment itself, but also considers social, economic and historical factors to study the interaction and influence between human activities and the environment. Its research results are of great significance for making regional economic development plans, rationally developing and utilizing natural resources, and solving regional ecological environment and population problems.
