Is it really useless to refute papers and study?
"Reading is useless" is just a one-sided and short-sighted view. It only sees the mismatch between a person's ability and the resources he has at a certain moment. Still another case, the diploma is not equal to his status and resources, so believe it. In fact, there are many complicated reasons behind it, but many people use the theory of "reading is useless" to summarize it.

"Reading is useless" is based on two points:

First, when I was a teenager, I studied hard and finally got less economic benefits from entering the society than those who didn't read much.

Below this point, the situation is more complicated, and achieving good economic benefits has a great relationship with the times and luck. Can be simply divided into two situations:

1. In the past, educational resources were hard-won, and everyone generally cherished them. In addition, reading is closely related to promotion, so the theory of reading uselessness rarely appears. Nowadays, there are not many people around the older generation who study, but they all earn more money than their peers. In fact, this is because:

(1) At that time, few people could read books, and 99% of them didn't read many books. Under such a ratio, people who earn a lot of money and have not read many books should be normal, because they all start from the same starting line.

(2) Scholars have embarked on official careers-most of them who study well want to be officials. At that time, scholars were highly respected, and businessmen were still at the bottom of the list of "scholars, farmers and businessmen".

Many people find it useless to study when they see that they are rich without studying, but in fact, the parents of the richest group in China are mostly intellectuals.

Up to now, there are abundant educational resources and more people can study. Many people still find that people who study hard are not as good as those who don't.

① Survivor bias

You only see people who fail to study hard, but you don't see more people who fail to study hard; If we really want to compare, we should compare the average, not the individual cases.

The success of people with low diplomas is also earned by hard work.

Recalling the time when I started my own business, Yu said simply, "In order to advertise for English schools, I climbed all the telephone poles near yenching university to put up small advertisements."

There is no shortcut in the world. We saw that he didn't study and succeeded. What I didn't see was that he had to pay more for not studying.

The truly successful "people with low diplomas" will pay more attention to the education of the next generation, rather than smugly telling them that "reading is useless". They know best that there is no hardship brought by reading.

The influence of reading should be seen in the long run: the Excellence of people around you can sometimes determine your height, but this influence is indeed time-limited.

Children from rural areas may be able to bear hardships, but because of their limited vision, they don't know how to use this knowledge to make money and become capable people.

Some children, whose parents are graduate students, let them read books and watch movies early, learn English and practice dancing, and choose more when they grow up. Once they work hard, they will be much more successful than children from the countryside. Those who are not worth it gnaw at their parents' money and spend a lot of money on girls and nightclubs, but they can still find good jobs with their parents' relationship.

So many people say that it is better to be reborn than to study.

However, on the one hand, because other people's parents study hard and see a better world, the next generation will naturally live more easily;

On the other hand, if you don't study and keep pace with the times, how long can you chew on such old books? Can we continue the good conditions created by the previous generation to the next generation? -Kodak and Nokia were brilliant, but they couldn't keep up with the times and eventually went bankrupt.

Secondly, there is a saying that "reading is useless" because after reading for so many years, the lights are like beans in the cold night, and most of the contents are forgotten when I grow up.

But even if you don't need to know more, your life will be broader and you will have more choices. Maybe these can't bring you anything yet, but your next generation may enjoy these deposited wealth.

Therefore, the "reading is useless" is absolutely wrong.

If you want to start a business in today's era, it is impossible to get ahead with your blood. A few years ago, who would have thought that the Internet would be replaced by the mobile Internet so soon? Those who don't study will soon be left behind. Only those who know the importance of reading can keep up with the times and succeed.
