There are many kinds of common diseases in rabbits, and the prevention and treatment of rabbit diseases is the key to rabbit breeding industry. The following are the prevention and treatment methods of several common diseases in rabbits:

1 rabbit plague

It is an acute septic infectious disease caused by rabbit plague virus. The disease is mainly susceptible to rabbits over 3 months old, and it is not easy for nursing rabbits to get sick. It is easy to break out in early spring, and it quickly spreads to the whole group after the onset, with a mortality rate of over 95%. The most acute and acute rabbits, young rabbits and adult rabbits are common, and the mortality rate is 60- 100%. Chronic rabbits are easy to infect young rabbits under 3 months old, with long incubation period and course of disease, body temperature of about 465438 0℃, mental retardation, loss of appetite and messy and dull fur. At present, there is no specific drug treatment for the disease, and the key is to vaccinate the rabbit plague vaccine to prevent it. Injection of 1ml rabbit plague vaccine at weaning can prevent young rabbits from causing the disease; At the age of 3-4 months, the second vaccination can prevent this from happening within half a year. When sick rabbits are found, they should be isolated and observed immediately, and the whole group should be vaccinated with "emergency rabbit plague vaccine", which will also achieve good results.

Rabbit pasteurellosis

It is an acute infectious disease caused by Pasteurella multocida. It is characterized by frequent occurrence in spring and autumn, endemic, and the incidence rate is 20-70%. Rabbits aged 2-6 months are prone to this disease, and if it is not controlled in time, the death will be more serious. Rabbits infected with acute type will suddenly get sick, and their body temperature will quickly reach above 4 1℃, with sneezing, runny nose, shortness of breath, sometimes accompanied by diarrhea, hypothermia, limb twitching, trembling and other symptoms, and usually die within 12-48 hours. Rabbits infected with chronic type will have symptoms such as elevated body temperature, sneezing, runny nose, difficulty in sputum suction, loss of appetite, etc. Most of the sick rabbits will die of emaciation and physical failure. The course of disease is long, usually 1-2 weeks. After the sick rabbits were found, penicillin 1-20000 units and streptomycin 1-200000 units were injected into muscles twice a day until they recovered. Oxytetracycline o. 25/ animal, mixed with feed twice a day, the curative effect will be better.

Clostridium welchii disease

It is an acute infectious disease with diarrhea caused by Clostridium welchii infection. It can occur all year round, and it is prone to damp, high temperature and rainy season. After infection, there will be hypothermia, watery acute diarrhea, accompanied by stench and other symptoms. Pathological autopsy showed that the stomach had symptoms such as ulcer, mucosal shedding, flatulence, edema, and large intestine serosa bleeding. Antibiotics and sulfonamides have no obvious effect. Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of 2 ml of Clostridium welchii aluminum hydroxide can extinguish the fire, and it can be immunized for 6 months.

4 rabbit colibacillosis

The disease, also known as enteritis, is widely distributed in nature, and bacteria are easily found in human and animal intestines. It is also a conditional disease, which can be caused by feeding, herd changing, moldy feed, unreasonable formula, changeable weather, high feeding density and poor ventilation. Once the disease occurs, the intestinal flora is seriously unbalanced, which will be manifested as diarrhea, dehydration, abdominal distension, loss of appetite and poor spirit. Some feces are very small and string-shaped, with jelly-like mucus outside. Rabbit Escherichia coli, another easily overlooked symptom, is respiratory tract and conjunctivitis conjunctival swelling, capillary congestion, purulent secretion. The disease is difficult to cure, mainly because of the special physiological structure of rabbits, the contents of intestines and stomach are not easy to empty, and the contents are rancid by fermentation, causing acidosis and gradually destroying internal organs. When rabbits are found to be sick, cephalosporins, butakanamycin and colistin sulfate can be added to feed or drinking water. If the condition is serious, amikacin or cefuroxime sodium should be injected in time. Under the condition that bacterial toxin did not seriously harm the body, 5 ml of microecological preparation 1:2 was administered with water. Prevent the disease, do a good job in environmental sanitation, strengthen feeding management, do not feed moldy feed, and do not change feed easily.

5 rabbit coccidiosis

This is a disease caused by various eimeria coccidia parasitic in intestinal tract or hepatic bile duct. Young rabbits are easy to get sick before and after weaning, and it is easy to happen in weather conditions such as high temperature and high humidity. At the beginning of the disease, the temperature of the sick rabbit was normal, and constipation and diarrhea symptoms gradually appeared. Pregnant rabbits are prone to miscarriage, rough hair, rapid weight loss, yellow plaques in the liver and purulent necrosis in the intestinal mucosa. Neuropathy will occur in the late stage of infection, and the mortality rate is high. Disinfectants in rabbit houses should be changed frequently. After weaning, add 150 mg/kg chlorobenzene guanidine to the feed for prevention for 45 days. During the treatment, 300 mg/kg feed was given 1-2 weeks. You can also use 6 grams of Cortex Phellodendri and Rhizoma Coptidis, 5 grams of Scutellariae Radix 15, 5 grams of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei and 8 grams of Radix Glycyrrhizae, and grind them into fine powder, and take 2-3 grams each morning and evening for 3-5 days, which can also achieve good results.

Six rabbits scabies

Rabbit mange, also known as rabbit mange, is a skin disease caused by mites parasitic on the inner layer of skin. The disease mainly occurs in the external ear, mouth, nose and claws of rabbits. The affected part of this sick rabbit has a strange itching sensation. Sick rabbits kept scratching their mouths, noses and other parts or biting their feet with their mouths, losing appetite and getting thinner. Found that sick rabbits should be isolated and treated in time, rabbit houses and utensils should be thoroughly disinfected and cleaned. For infected rabbits, first cut off the long hair on the legs and claws, rinse with clear water or soapy water, and wash off the scabs. Then wipe the affected area with 0. 1-0.2% potassium permanganate or 2% lysol aqueous solution, wash off the liquid medicine after a few minutes, and put it in a dry place to dry. Generally, it can be recovered by cleaning twice a week. Apply sulfur ointment to the affected part of the sick rabbit every 3 days 1 time for 2-3 times in a row to recover.
