Zou Yuanxuan's Learning Experience
Yuan Xian received a good family education since childhood, and graduated from Zhichuan Middle School, Hangzhou Senior Middle School and Zhejiang University Chemical Engineering Department. After graduating from college, I went to work in a copper smelter under the Changsha Municipal Resources Committee (later moved to Chongqing) and worked as a public works engineer, assistant engineer and engineer.

1942 obtained the official fee of the national "Linsen Scholarship" to study in the United States, and was admitted to Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, USA. 1947 received a doctorate in metallurgy from Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh. 1June, 998, he returned to China and became a professor at Zhejiang University. After liberation, he was invited by the Experimental Museum of China Academy of Sciences (the predecessor of Shanghai Metallurgical Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences) to study chemical metallurgy and semiconductor materials.

In the early 1950s, Zou Yuanxuan helped Zhou Ren to carry out research on ductile iron and won the Science Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

During the period of 1953, Zhou Ren and others carried out pioneering research on blast furnace smelting of fluorine-containing iron ore in Baotou Steel, obtained the data of blast furnace design and theoretical analysis of smelting, and won the third prize of National Natural Science Award. The ferrosilicon reduction method for extracting ferrosilicon rare earth alloy from blast furnace slag was also studied and achieved success.

1957 and Xu Yuansen et al. carried out the experiment of recovering titanium from Panzhihua blast furnace slag, and achieved success. Since 1960s, he turned to the research of semiconductor materials, pure metals and physical chemistry. Research on purification of high-purity metals such as gallium, phosphorus and arsenic, and research on III-V compound semiconductor materials such as gallium arsenide and indium antimonide have successively achieved remarkable results and won the second prize of national industrial new products.

During the Cultural Revolution, he was censored in isolation, but he was still committed to improving the quality and purity of gallium arsenide, and wrote a long article "Three Key Issues in the Research of Gallium Arsenide Materials". After smashing the Gang of Four, through further research, a new model theory of gallium arsenide structural defects was put forward, which was unique in academic circles. Some indicators have reached or exceeded the international level, and won the scientific and technological progress award and the national invention award. Yuan Xian paid attention to personnel training, personally guided graduate students, and wrote more than 20 academic papers/kloc-0.

65438-0958 participated in the establishment of the Metallurgical Department of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, and concurrently served as a member, dean and professor of the school affairs committee.

In the 1950s, I joined the Jiu San Society. 1980 to join the China * * * production party. He is the author of Theory of Metallurgical Process and Physical Chemistry of Metallurgical Process.

Zou Yuanxuan is also good at literature, with more than 400 poems, beautiful words, neat antithesis and many excellent works.

1980 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences.
