Lamarck (1744- 1829) proposed; British naturalist Darwin's Origin of Species laid the scientific foundation of evolution. Darwin believed that the dominant force of biological evolution was natural selection. With the development of modern biological science, the theoretical research on the origin and evolution of life, species differentiation and formation has been further developed. It is believed that living things evolved from non-living things at first, and all modern living things have the same ancestor. In the process of evolution, organisms go from low to high, from simple to complex, from few to many through mutation, heredity and natural selection. Engels spoke highly of Darwin's theory of evolution, which was considered as one of the three major developments of natural science in the19th century.
