Aesthetic empathy is also a psychological phenomenon, which is unique to human beings. When people perceive natural scenery under certain conditions, they unconsciously give their subjective thoughts, feelings and will qualities to things that are not human feelings. As a result, foreign objects seem to have the qualities of human thought, emotion and will. In the phenomenon of empathy, the emotion and emotion of the aesthetic subject are related to the aesthetic object, which must be realized through the association and imagination of the aesthetic object. The theory of aesthetic empathy was first put forward and established by German psychologist Lipps (1851-1914).

Aldo Lips, a famous figure in empathy theory, cited many examples to prove the phenomenon of aesthetic empathy, the most famous of which was the Doric stone pillar in ancient Greece. As we all know, the Doric stone pillar is thick at the bottom and thin at the top to support its heavy roof. For these marble pillars, they are a pile of lifeless hard materials. However, if we look at them from an aesthetic point of view, we will deeply feel the fresh vitality, so vivid and so shocking. If you look at the stone pillar vertically, you will have a feeling of rising, as if the stone pillar itself is also rising, so as to restrain the great pressure brought by the top cover. From another angle, if you look at the stone pillar from the horizontal direction, you will have a different feeling. Due to the great pressure of the roof, the stone pillars continue to extend in the horizontal direction, accumulating strength and condensing into a whole. These two different feelings are unique activities of Shizhu, and we personally experienced its power, which led to empathy.
