It was first put forward by Su Hui, vice president and professor of the School of Literature of Huazhong Normal University, in his doctoral thesis "Comic Consciousness: The Core of Comedy" in 2005, which is also the central point of this paper. Later, on the basis of this paper, the book Modern Development and Variation of Western Comedy Aesthetics was further revised and perfected, which was published by Huazhong Normal University Press in February 2005.
