Political science takes human political behavior and political phenomena as the research object. Contemporary human beings regard the state as the highest organization, aggregate and restrain the behavior of members internally, and treat each other in the name of the state externally.
Although the theory of ending the nation-state was once rampant, it is hard to imagine its realization at present and in the foreseeable future. Even if the country declines, I'm afraid another form of political organization has taken its place, so it can't escape the research category of political science. Politics is so important because any human activity must follow specific laws, and the formulation and maintenance of laws ultimately depend on political coercion.
Any economic activities or scientific and technological activities must be carried out in this context, even academic activities are no exception. Therefore, politics is the commanding height of any human activity, whether at home or abroad, so politics is an extremely important branch of social science.
