Work procrastination countermeasures
A study on the countermeasures of delaying Chinese homework for rural primary school students

research report

Song Fushan, Yongning Central Primary School, Pukou District, Nanjing

First of all, the topic is put forward:

For a long time, teachers have formed a fixed understanding of homework, that is, "copying, writing and dictation". Except for an occasional small amount of reading and writing homework, written homework has basically become the only form. Therefore, some students are tired of their homework and don't finish it on time.

There are 365,438+0 students in a new class this semester. According to the former Chinese teacher, nearly half of the students are dragging their homework, especially boys. The family education of most students who procrastinate is out of control. Parents often go out to work and grandparents take care of them. They only care about their children's eating and drinking, but they can't control their studies. Some even spoil their children, and their minor problems are increasing. The education of the next generation has brought many problems to their growth.

The child is in grade four. If they are not corrected in time, once they form habits and breed laziness, it will have a serious impact on their future, which is not conducive to their healthy growth and success.

In the new school year, it is proposed to design "effective homework", which breaks through the traditional thinking mode and setting mode, takes the new curriculum standard as the guide, takes the quality goal as the core, embodies the characteristics of schools and families, and has rich and colorful forms of homework. Adhere to the combination of written homework with oral homework, audio-visual homework and hands-on homework; The combination of "double basics" training and innovative spirit training; The study of book knowledge should be combined with knowledge transfer, application and operation practice; Development and cultivation of basic qualities such as knowledge, life, fitness and survival. Carry out "investigation and countermeasure research on Chinese homework procrastination of rural primary school students" to promote students to develop "diligent, pragmatic and flexible" learning quality and grow up healthily.

Second, the topic and topic definition:

Topic: Study on the Countermeasures of Chinese homework procrastination of rural primary school students

Rural primary school students: refers to the primary school students who live in township streets and surrounding rural areas and attend designated complete primary schools in rural areas.

Homework: all teachers give feedback exercises to students inside and outside the school.

Homework procrastination: refers to the behavior that students feedback that part or all of their homework cannot be completed in time.

Countermeasures: Teachers' methods to deal with students' procrastination.

Definition: Teachers treat pupils living in rural areas with methods and strategies that can't complete all feedback exercises in and out of Chinese class in time, and make them form the habit of completing corresponding exercises in time and effectively through behavior guidance, which becomes self-study action.

Third, the research objectives and theoretical basis:

Goal:

1, through appreciation education and behavior guidance, rural primary school students can get rid of the bad habit of procrastination, enhance their learning confidence, generate interest in learning, and complete feedback exercises in time.

2. Correct the procrastination behavior of rural primary school students through behavior guidance, master the skills of feedback exercises, and carry out effective exercises, so as to consolidate what they have learned and enhance their learning ability.

3. Cultivate the vigorous learning style of rural primary school students.

Main theory:

1, Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory;

2. Expectation theory and behavioral guidance in psychology;

3. Piaget's constructivist learning theory.

4. Appreciation education theory.

Fourth, the research process and method selection

A research project is divided into four stages:

In the first stage (September 2007 -65438+ 10), a survey was conducted in the class, and the relevant information of rural primary school students' homework procrastination was grasped, and the reasons for this phenomenon were analyzed, and a research plan was made.

In the second stage (165438+2007 10-February 2008), students' awareness of homework was improved through heart-to-heart talk and investigation, and their understanding of finishing homework in time was strengthened, so that they had positive enthusiasm and clear ideological requirements.

The third stage (gradually formed from February to June, 2008) is to strengthen behavior guidance and correction, win the support and cooperation of parents, study the scientific nature of homework, and arrange various feedback exercises according to the characteristics of disciplines and students, so as to diversify the forms of exercises. Help students record their growth process.

The fourth stage (June-July, 2008) is to test the research and sort out the topics.

This topic will be based on the reality of rural areas, the reality of class students and the current research situation of the topic, and adopt scientific methods to carry out research.

Second, research methods:

1. survey method: a questionnaire survey was conducted in the early stage of the study to obtain first-hand information and effectively guide the normal and orderly development of the research work. The questionnaire is conducted from ten aspects, and the survey results are analyzed as follows.

Overall analysis: according to the quantitative standard, the answers to the students' questionnaires are quantified. The statistical results are as follows: 1 1, accounting for 36.7%, 12, accounting for 40%, 7, accounting for 23.3%. Most students are very active.

Project analysis:

(1) Do you think finishing homework can improve your academic performance? 100% of the students chose "A" and "Helpful", which shows that the students have clearly defined the purpose of the homework. As long as our teacher pays attention to guiding students in teaching practice and adopts more effective methods, students are willing to do homework. If students can't finish their homework well, we should find out the reasons from the aspects of teachers, the quantity and form of homework.

Which subject of homework do you like? 18 students chose "Chinese", accounting for 60%, 23 students chose "Mathematics", accounting for 76.7%, and 25 students chose "English", accounting for 83.3%. This shows that in the past three years of study, Chinese teaching is not as popular as mathematics and English, especially homework exercises, which require teachers to design, measure and practice homework.

Where do you like to do your homework? 15 people chose "teaching materials", accounting for 50%, 19 people chose "supplementary exercises", accounting for 63.3%, 14 people chose "evaluation manual", accounting for 46.6%, and/chose "AB volume". The results of questionnaire survey show that the homework designed by supplementary exercises is suitable for students, conforms to their age characteristics, has various forms and moderate quantity, and can be completed at the stage of keeping students interested in homework. Remind teachers that design exercises should study students like supplementary exercises. Parents' participation in students' homework design is not high. Only a few parents pay attention to their children's learning, while most parents don't.

What kind of homework do you like? 10 people choose "difficult, need to think deeply", accounting for 33.3%, 19 people choose "medium, think slightly", accounting for 63.3%, 1 people choose "easy, don't think", accounting for 3.3%. As can be seen from the data, students are unwilling to do the homework they don't want to do, the homework exercises are too difficult, and the students' practical ability is insufficient. Teachers should accurately grasp students' learning status and acceptance ability, arrange learning exercises at different levels, and focus on doing some moderate exercises.

When did you finish your homework? Choose "within 30 minutes" for 2 people, "30-60 minutes" for 23 people, accounting for 76.6%, "60-90 minutes" for 4 people, and "over 90 minutes" for 1 person. Judging from the amount of information, students' homework is well controlled. Teachers should arrange exercises reasonably, adjust weights organically and pay attention to the balance between disciplines.

[6] What kind of homework do you like? 1 1 chose "written", accounting for 36.6%, 3 chose "oral", 2 1 chose "practical", accounting for 70%, and 12 chose "search", accounting for 40%. Students are willing to operate because their quality is not enough and their mobility is high. The teacher tries to combine static and dynamic exercises when assigning exercises.

(7) How did you finish your homework? Twenty-five people chose to do it independently, accounting for 83.3%, five people chose to work in groups, zero people chose to copy what others have made, and seven people chose to do it after listening to the teacher, accounting for 23.3%. Most students' homework can be done independently, which is the mainstream. At the same time, I also look forward to the cooperation of the study group and the reasonable and timely guidance of the teacher.

When do you like to do your homework? Class 10, class 33.3%, class 1 1 person, 7 people at noon, at home 23.3%, accounting for 73.3%. The choice of students' homework time is very important, and the length of time is directly related to the environment of students' homework. Quiet and elegant environment is conducive to high-quality homework, so it is not surprising that most students are willing to finish their homework at home. Teachers should create an environment suitable for students' homework and pay attention to classroom layout and homework norms.

How is your homework? 28 people chose to "concentrate on finishing", accounting for 93.3%, and 2 people chose to "write and play". No one chooses "don't write if you can't". Students' concentration on homework is the guarantee of homework quality. They can do things well, write their homework neatly, regularly and beautifully, and ensure the correct rate of homework.

What are your habits after you finish your homework? Five people choose "regular check", accounting for 16.7%, 18 people choose "check sometimes", 60% people choose "never check" and 9 people choose "let parents check", accounting for 30%. It is a good study habit for students to finish homework inspection. Most students fail to develop, and only 65,438+06.7% students can do it. That's not enough. Teachers should try to form the habit of checking.

Literature method: In today's society, information explodes, and the network is the main channel for people to obtain information. The network information is rich and comprehensive, and the research results of similar topics are endless. In the research process, the network information has been effectively used and played a guiding role. I know that children's procrastination actually has physical problems, habit problems, and many basic and ability problems.

13. case study method: at the beginning of this study, more than half of the students in the class had procrastination experience, and five or six were excellent. During the research, Jiang was selected as the case study object. By tracking and learning, he recorded his performance in finishing his homework at ordinary times, and took effective measures to correct his behavior habits, which better changed the phenomenon of homework delay.

Mr. Jiang:1born in February 1997, cheerful, quiet and lazy. He can usually finish his homework, but he hardly writes or writes casually about homework that needs thinking, especially reading exercises.

Special performance: in the first week of school, because of the new teacher, I can't understand the teacher's temperament for a while, and my homework is relatively simple, so I can write it every day. In the second week, I began to repeat the same mistakes, no longer doing homework, and the team leader reported more. Through the conversation, I learned that the reasons why he didn't finish his homework are really numerous and bizarre. On Monday, because I went out to play with my parents on weekends, I didn't have time to write during the day, so I stopped writing when I was tired at night. On Tuesday, I left my exercise book at school and didn't take it home, so I didn't write it. I didn't concentrate on my homework in class on Wednesday, but I forgot about it on Thursday ... there will be procrastination in my homework.

Implement education:

⑴ Talk: Through talking with him, we can understand the real situation and psychological factors of homework delay and help him find out the reasons for the delay. If you don't listen carefully in class, your understanding ability is worse than that of your classmates. He is a little playful at ordinary times, which helps him build up confidence in finishing his homework. I sincerely hope that he can get rid of his faults and be a student who finishes his homework on time.

Strive for the support and cooperation of parents: the parents of this student are also my students. Through home visits, telephone calls and even invitations to the school, exchange children's homework, guide parents to do family counseling, and ask parents to check their children's homework according to the records in the homework book and sign it in time. The teacher also wrote down relevant information in the exercise book to inform parents.

(3) Play the role of a small assistant: the class representative exercises his powers and goes to school every morning to check the completion of students' homework, whether it is completed, correct and serious. The teacher specially instructed the class representative to focus on checking Jiang's homework, so as not to let him have time to drill, and at the same time give appropriate help.

⑷ Appreciation education: After a period of help, the phenomenon of homework procrastination basically disappeared. It is also good news for the teacher to seize this good opportunity to praise and encourage them in time and send a message to parents, asking him to help the group leader collect and check his homework. He felt that he could get performance after finishing his homework, which greatly stimulated his enthusiasm for finishing his homework.

5. Repeated efforts to promote cultivation: A good habit is not born, nor can it be cultivated overnight. For Jiang, it needs long-term help and supervision. After the mid-term exam, I dragged my homework several times in a row for the same reason, and I voluntarily admitted that I didn't finish my homework, waiting for the teacher to punish me, but I just didn't make up my homework. In a rage, after watching him finish his homework, he preached and invited the head teacher to join the ranks of education and help. The class teacher's participation really worked. Strike while the iron is hot.

(6) Personalized homework design: According to the characteristics of ginger, discuss and design personalized homework with parents and students. In addition to completing basic exercises, change thinking homework into dialogue homework instead of writing; Change written homework into operation homework and finish it while playing; Change extracurricular homework into in-class homework to increase extracurricular reading and game time.

The effect is obvious: after one year's education and training, Jiang's procrastination in homework has been greatly improved. At least several times in the second semester, due to the large amount of homework, he couldn't finish it, even during the busy period of final review. You can also take the initiative to consult relevant materials and complete reading training with strong thinking.

4. Observation: At the beginning of the study, through the observation of the completion of classroom homework, the performance of students in the process of homework is analyzed in detail. Students who have procrastinated don't pay attention during homework, look around, talk to the same person, and some people make small moves, creating the illusion of thinking. A pen, an eraser, a corner of a book and even a finger can play tricks, which takes a lot of time. The homework is not finished until the class is over. Under the teacher's nose, this is the case after finishing homework, and it may be even more out of line at home, so it is not surprising. In view of this phenomenon, teachers are trained in homework concentration. Students don't walk around and give instructions when doing their homework. Ask them to finish it within the specified time and take face-to-face reforms.

5. Experience summary method: Based on the investigation and study, the research project proceeded from reality, perfected the theory and summed up the experience, and wrote "Investigation and Analysis of Homework Procrastination of Rural Primary School Students" and "Countermeasure Research". The former won the second prize in the selection of regional papers, and the latter was submitted to the provincial education society for review.

V. Preliminary results of the study

After a year's research, the research of this subject has achieved certain results.

1. Starting from the reality of rural primary school students, help rural primary school students overcome psychological obstacles in their study, form a good habit of finishing homework on time, and cultivate students' learning ability, which will affect their life.

2. Starting from teaching practice and starting from small things, we can really solve the difficult problems in Chinese teaching in primary schools.

3. Through the research of this topic, strengthen the cooperation and communication between teachers at home and school, and form a joint educational force.

4. Closely combining students' Chinese learning with their real life is conducive to improving rural primary school students' comprehensive Chinese literacy and cultivating their positive interest in life.

Seven. Reflection on the research of this subject.

There are many reasons why students delay their homework. In order to eliminate this phenomenon fundamentally, it is necessary to trace back to the source and take effective measures to help students get rid of the bad habit of delaying homework. It is a high-quality product, which needs long-term persistence, be a friend of students, carefully design, scientifically guide, treat it sincerely, and firmly believe that there will be good results.

1, start from me and try your best to teach and educate people. As a teacher, we should thoroughly study the teaching materials, be flexible and realistic in classroom teaching, be innovative in homework design, and have timely and focused counseling inside and outside the class. In the process of implementing the new curriculum standards, guided by the curriculum standards and proceeding from the rural reality, we should integrate students' psychology and stimulate students' interest.

2. To cultivate students' good study habits, we should persevere, which varies from time to time and from person to person. For the same group of students, different periods have different performances, and different age groups also have different learning attitudes and habits. The same student has different education methods, so it goes back and forth. Teachers face different students every year, and different students have different situations, which requires us to have different educational methods, training methods and help measures. As the saying goes, "a key opens a lock", and students' hearts are opened with magical keys.

3. Pay attention to students' schoolwork burden. In today's society, employment pressure is great. Many students read undergraduate courses, but it is not easy to find a job, and they can't find a counterpart job or a good job. Employment pressure tends to schools, college entrance examination and senior high school entrance examination are under great pressure, and primary school students are inevitably involved. Education authorities, parents, communities and schools all put pressure on students, which is manifested in increasing the class hours of major subjects and increasing the amount of homework. Students are overwhelmed, and it is really urgent for students, especially primary school students who are still enjoying a happy childhood, to reduce their schoolwork burden.

4. Pay attention to left-behind children in rural areas. Many children's parents go out to work to make a living, and their children are left to their grandparents to take care of. After generations of education, the little emperor and the little princess feel incomparable superiority. The quality of hard work has faded away, and it is just a piece of cake not to finish their homework. It is necessary to strengthen the connection between home and school, and it will certainly play a corresponding role.
