Defense of medical graduation thesis

Good morning, teachers!

My name is Wei Qiaolian, and I am a student of Class 06. The topic of my thesis is "Study on Flocculation Fluid Dynamics of Traditional Chinese Medicine Extract". The thesis was completed under the careful guidance of Kang Yong's tutor. Here, I would like to express my deep gratitude to my tutor, to all the teachers who have taken pains to participate in my thesis defense, and to express my heartfelt respect to all the teachers who have had the opportunity to listen to my teachings in the past three years.

Next, I will report the research significance and main contents of this paper to all teachers and ask them to criticize and guide.

First of all, I want to talk about the significance of this graduation thesis design.

Flocculation method has a good development prospect in the clarification of traditional Chinese medicine liquid, which can reduce working procedures, greatly shorten production cycle, save raw materials, reduce costs, and effectively retain effective components such as polysaccharides. The preparation does not absorb moisture and has good stability. The key step in the production of Leyantang Yangyin Qingfei syrup is the clarification process of its extract. The alcohol precipitation method used in the original process not only has a long production cycle (the clarification cycle of low-alcohol and alcohol-free products accounts for more than 1/2 of the whole production cycle), but also has high energy consumption, complicated operation and serious loss of effective components, which can no longer meet the growing domestic and international market demand. This paper mainly takes Yangyin Qingfei syrup as the treatment object. In the process of flocculation and clarification of its water extract and alcohol extract, the beaker flocculation experiment method is used to screen flocculants and determine the flocculation process conditions, so as to shorten the production cycle of Yangyin Qingfei syrup and reduce its production cost. According to the flocculation phenomenon observed in the experiment, the flocculation mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine liquid was explored to promote the development of flocculation theory. In addition, because hydraulic conditions play an important role in the optimization of flocculation process, according to the experimental results, the influence of axial and radial mixed flow on flocculation effect of traditional Chinese medicine was further investigated and analyzed, and the influence of self-designed grid baffle on flocculation effect was also investigated and analyzed, which provided useful reference materials for the modernization and industrialization of traditional Chinese medicine production process in the future.

Secondly, I want to talk about the main content of this paper.

1. The water extract and alcohol extract of Yangyin Qingfei syrup were tested by coagulation beaker experiment, and a suitable flocculant was selected. The effects of stirring intensity and time on flocculation effect were investigated under the optimal dosage of flocculant and the optimal temperature of liquid medicine.

2. According to the morphology, size and sedimentation characteristics of floc, combined with flocculation mechanism, the influence of hydraulic conditions on flocculation process was analyzed.

3. Investigate the influence of radial flow and axial-radial mixed flow produced by six-straight-bladed disk turbine slurry and three-inclined-bladed turbine slurry on flocculation effect, compare and analyze the flocculation effect of grid baffle spoiler, and determine the flow field form that can strengthen flocculation reaction process; Finally, in order to study the rapid mixing degree of grid baffle in flocculation reaction, the influence of water flow state in the reactor on the floc content distribution in the reactor was analyzed.

Finally, I want to talk about the shortcomings of this paper.

Due to the limitations of objective conditions, theoretical knowledge, research vision and practical research level, there are still many shortcomings in this study.

Preparation before defense:

(1) Digest your own papers.

Defense is a form of examination and acceptance of the results of master's thesis. Postgraduates should have a clear purpose, correct attitude, build up confidence, and improve their analytical ability, generalization ability and expression ability by defending their master's thesis. On the basis of reading and reviewing the master's thesis repeatedly, we should pay special attention to the following points when writing a 20-minute defense report: 1, highlighting the importance and significance of the topic. 2. Introduce the main idea and structural arrangement of the paper (this part only explains the topic and does not discuss the content, because the teacher has read your paper). 3. Emphasize the originality and originality of the paper. 4. Explain what necessary work has been done. Because there are too many national defense students, the college has not used PPT at this stage. In the future, with the standardization, students should make a brief outline with pictures and texts. Try to read this report as well as possible. If you read it directly from the lecture notes or PPT, the effect will be very poor.

(2) Material preparation

Materials needed to prepare the defense meeting: 1. The manuscript of master's thesis. 2. National defense report. 3. The main reference materials, although you can't rely on these materials when defending, you can avoid the embarrassment and confusion of not answering when you can't remember them at the moment. 4. Writing paper for recording. In order to record the questions raised by the defense teacher and valuable opinions and opinions. By recording, you can not only ease your nervousness, but also better understand the key and essence of the teacher's question. At the same time, you can think while recording and make the thinking process natural. (PPT auxiliary introduction should be prepared in the future). 5. Dress neatly and solemnly. Boys should wear short-sleeved shirts, preferably ties, and girls should dress as professionally as possible. Dressing can give the most direct impression to the defense teacher _ _ how much you attach importance to defense.

(3) adjust your mentality.

First of all, the defense should be clear about what graduate students should be examined in the thesis defense. Master education focuses on cultivating scientific thinking, how to turn scientific achievements into academic articles, and even create social benefits. Therefore, through the thesis defense, we can observe the following points: 1 The authenticity of the paper. Seeking truth from facts is the basis of scientific research, and the paper itself must be true and reliable, and fraud can not escape the attention of experts in the defense Committee. If there is a problem in this respect, the paper is bound to fail to pass the expert review. 2. Investigate relevant knowledge and application ability. 3. Investigate the comprehensive quality of graduate students, including the respondent's expressive ability. A successful speech is a combination of self-confidence and skill, and solid professional knowledge and careful preparation for defense are the prerequisites for success. It is also essential to use some defense skills, which can fully demonstrate the ability to organize research materials and display research results, and let others know what they have done. If we want to win this war, we must make an in-depth analysis of the purpose, procedure, possible problems and solutions of the defense, so as to be confident and enthusiastic in participating in the defense.

Defense of medical graduation thesis 2 1. Common problems in the presentation of papers

1, the instrument is not decent enough.

When defending, the respondent is required not only to be neat, but also to be decent. The main problem is that individual girls are not decent enough, such as heavy make-up, which is not like attending academic activities, such as attending dances or blind dates. Boys' clothes may also be wrong. For example, a boy wearing a necklace looks weird and not solemn enough.

2, behavior is not calm enough

Facing the audience, especially many teachers, they are not calm enough, even look flustered, their voices tremble, their eyes don't know where to look, they dare not look down at the audience, or they look out of the window or the ceiling to avoid, and they are at a loss, standing straight, twisting or walking unnaturally. Some smiles are not like smiles, but forcing a smile is unnatural and even uglier than crying. Or, staring at someone in the audience makes both sides uncomfortable. Or can't speak fluently, resulting in speech disorders.

3. The problem of speaking speed

You don't decide your personal sound quality, but the level of your voice is your own decision. Some students are too loud, just like quarreling; Some students are so quiet that they can't even hear the teacher sitting in the front row, let alone the person sitting in the back row. What's more, simply pronounce it with your nose, like humming a song. Too fast to speak clearly, too slow to speak coherently.

4, the time is not accurate

The time for giving a paper is too short or too long. Short, only 1 min. After reporting the topic of the paper, I said it was divided into several chapters. What is chapter one and chapter two? Until the last chapter, there is nothing to say. If you are long, you will work overtime, usually reading the original paper. It takes about half an hour to read an original paper, a paper of seven or eight thousand words, and an hour to read a paper of fifteen thousand words. Less than ten minutes after talking about the paper, it was time to read the beginning, and the presiding teacher had to stop.

5. The story is not smooth

Most students can't tell stories if they don't write, and they read manuscripts, and some of them don't read neatly. A better one is to recite the manuscript, not the thesis, but the text. The worst thing is reading a paper. The situation of reciting papers is quite special. Once, a student recited a paper of more than 7,000 words, word for word, and recited it for about 26 minutes in one go, reflecting that the student had an excellent memory and was extremely familiar with the paper, but it was seriously overtime, because the lecture should be within 10 minutes.

6. Other issues

For example, there is a lack of support means, a lack of wall charts, and even a catalogue wall chart. There are also problems such as unclear articulation and nonstandard Mandarin. The comprehensive problem is that a student has two or more problems mentioned above at the same time. For example, a boy buried his head from beginning to end after taking the stage and couldn't wait to get under the platform to read the manuscript. His voice was very soft and small, and finally he snorted the paper, which was seriously overtime.

Second, answer the' common questions' when asking questions.

1. Not actively answering questions

Avoid the important and light, avoid the major and complicated questions, and choose unimportant and easy-to-answer questions to answer, or only give a rough answer to the questions that need to be answered in detail, and give a lengthy answer to the non-critical questions that only need to be answered briefly. Avoid questions, avoid answering some questions without any explanation, as if these questions had never been mentioned. Show impatience in expression or tone.

2. The old question is not answered well

Sometimes, multiple students writing the same or similar thesis topics may be asked the same or similar questions. There are some questions that the students in front can't answer well or can't answer. It is reasonable that the students behind should answer the same question better than the students in front, but the actual situation is sometimes that the students in front can't answer well, which is disappointing. For example, what is the definition of "strategy"? The first student couldn't answer, and the second student couldn't answer after a while.

3. The number of questions answered is very small.

The graduation thesis defense of college students belongs to undergraduate or junior college level, which is different from that of master students or doctoral students. There are not too many problems. Generally, each student is asked five questions and can answer at least three questions. The problem is that some students can only answer two or even 1 questions, or they can only answer 1 questions well, and the number is too small, which accounts for too low a proportion of the total number of questions.

4. The answer is flawed

The answer is incomplete. For example, a student writes a paper about China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and answers "Which countries does ASEAN include?" At that time, the names and numbers of ASEAN countries were listed, which was similar to the standard answer, but it was incomplete after all. Answer "Which economy has the most economic exchanges between China and ASEAN?" When, the defect is bigger. The topic of the thesis written by an international business graduate is the promotion of party and government officials in spite of illness. Not only is the writing not inclined or close to the business field, but when answering questions, I know nothing about the promotion of party and government officials in the business field and the arrest of senior officials in the Ministry of Commerce. A student writes a paper about entrepreneurial ability, but this student not only fails to analyze and compare the famous entrepreneurs in the paper, but even the most famous entrepreneurs in China are few, and even the person in charge of the famous Hisense Group doesn't know, which is obviously insufficient in related knowledge.

5. The answer is incorrect or unanswerable.

A student's paper repeatedly mentioned the developed coastal areas in China and answered, "How to define the developed coastal areas?" The answer at that time was incorrect, because the answer was "coastal areas are developed areas". In fact, there are also underdeveloped areas along the coast.

A student wrote about the influence of geography and culture on FDI (foreign direct investment) and answered, "What's the difference between foreign direct investment and indirect investment?" When, was speechless. Some business graduates don't know that the full name of WTO is the World Trade Organization. What's more, they can't even say three words.

6. This answer is fundamentally wrong

For example, writing "The Application of Sun Tzu's Art of War in Marketing" and answering questions with "The Thirty-sixth Plan of Sun Tzu's Art of War" confuse Sun Tzu's Art of War with the Thirty-sixth Plan, which violates the minimum common sense. Writing Sun Tzu's Art of War, the paper can't even distinguish Sun Tzu's Art of War from the Thirty-six Tactics, lacking basic common sense and making mistakes in principle.

Also, when writing about regional economic issues, the word "Yangtze River Delta" runs through the page, and the narrative repeatedly mentions "Yangtze River Delta" and "Pearl River Delta", but is asked to answer "What is the Yangtze River Delta?" When I asked such a simple question, I kept talking about the Yangtze River basin. It turns out that this student can't even tell the difference between the Yangtze River Delta and the Yangtze River Basin, and he is still awake after being prompted by the teacher on the spot. The key words in the paper are all fundamental misunderstandings, all wet.

7. I am not familiar with the English translation of abstract.

A Chinese abstract of about 400 words, translated into English, will increase in length, but not too much, and the author should be very familiar with it. But in fact, some authors are not familiar with the English translation of their abstracts. For example, there is a "financial crisis" in the Chinese abstract and a "financial crisis" in the English abstract translation, but when asked how to translate the "financial crisis" into English, he couldn't answer, only saying that he had a poor English foundation. Similarly, there are "central government", "local government" and "future market competition", all of which appear in the paper, but the author can't answer them. In this case, the translation work is often not done by the author himself.

8. Other issues

For example, the exam questions are unclear and the answers are irrelevant. Overanswer, gild the lily. Hu Meng run amok, talk nonsense, even sophistry, argue irrationally and so on.

The teachers saw that the English translation of the abstract was obviously short, and found that the whole sentence or even the whole paragraph was not translated, which was a problem of cutting corners or carelessness, so they asked questions. Some students replied that they could translate freely and refused to admit that they didn't work hard enough.
