First, education involves thousands of families and benefits future generations. Educational equity is the objective requirement of people's all-round development and social fairness and justice. Since the reform and opening up, China's education has made great achievements, and compulsory education is basically universal, which is higher than the average level of developing countries with the same income. The enrollment opportunities in high school have expanded rapidly, vocational education has developed steadily, higher education has entered the stage of popularization, and the enrollment opportunities have doubled. A student financial aid system has basically taken shape, helping more poor students to complete their studies. Education fees and the order of running schools were further standardized, and the legitimate rights and interests of students were safeguarded. Generally speaking, the effectiveness of educational equity in China is remarkable.

Second, the outstanding problems faced by educational equity are mainly the reflection of the problems existing in social equity in the field of education, which is also related to the lag of educational system reform. Although the overall situation of education equity in China is constantly improving, there is a big gap between urban and rural areas, between regions and between schools in terms of compulsory education teachers and school conditions, and there is also a lack of effective supervision over the allocation and use of some public education resources. If the social fair environment is optimized, the space for equitable growth of education will increase; With the improvement of educational equity, the level of social equity will also increase.

Thirdly, it is an important strategic choice to promote social equity in the primary stage of socialism to promote educational equity as a national basic education policy. The basic national condition of China is that it is still in the primary stage of socialism and will be in it for a long time. Promoting social equity involves a wide range, and we can only do our best and do what we can, so can promoting educational equity. We must implement the spirit of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and "run a satisfactory education for the people" according to the national basic education policy. The so-called promotion of educational equity requires us to continue to implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and the strategy of strengthening the country through talents, and to implement the strategic position of giving priority to the development of education. To promote educational equity, we should do what we can, which requires us to base ourselves on national conditions, adjust measures to local conditions, tilt public education resources to poor areas and ethnic minority areas, promote the coordinated development of education in rural areas and towns, the central and western regions and the eastern regions, and gradually realize the equalization of basic public education services.
