Modern graphic design art, as the main part of visual communication art, has experienced the transformation from industrialized society to information society. China's graphic design art is deeply influenced by eastern and western cultural ideas and artistic styles in concept, function, semantics and formal expression. Under the general trend of diversified development of modern design, we find that the laws used in previous visual design are gradually being broken, the inherent symbolic phenomena are deconstructed, and human beings are trying to find a rational visual space in the cross-century process. The development of modern visual design in China has formed new design requirements.

First, the original design requirements

As an artistic activity, visual design, like other artistic activities, its design and production process is a creative labor. This creative work often comes from the designer's subjective factors (cultural background). Take painting art as an example. Throughout the ages, there are many painters who draw bamboo, but Zheng Banqiao is the most original. Its profound cultural heritage is due to his skills in poetry, books and paintings, which was called "three musts" by people at that time. He "pursues the God of self-transmission through painting". The bamboos in his works are realistic in chaos, dense and elegant, natural and unrestrained, gaunt, tall and straight, thin and varied in spirit. He painted "bamboo in the eye" as "bamboo in the chest", "painting to the point where there is no place to float, no truth, no real soul", which comes from his originality.

As an innovative designer, we should not blindly pursue tradition or westernization, but strive for our own style. We can see that the most fundamental reason for the change of visual communication designers' creative independence is the change of individuals facing social needs and creative needs. There are many possibilities for visual design, and there is no need to stick to one form of expression at all. In actual design, it is easy for visual designers to think professionally, which sometimes narrows their horizons and makes them blind. The development from individual creative period to cooperative creative period is mostly due to the lack of technology and life accumulation; When designers have accumulated enough foundation, switching from cooperative creation period to master creation period means that designers in this period have turned their purpose into the pursuit of master creation and design creation fun. Purpose can be used as a coordinate. Just like culture, it has the motivation of regression and transcendence, and the change of independence is more of a transcendence. For example, the color of K ichi Sat's works can be said to have this quality, which produces a sense of separation and tension, which is dramatic. Seeking the balance between color, shape and light does not completely fall into the western classical light irradiation method, nor does it completely fall into the almost exhausted light source of the eastern tradition, but only seeks the expression of color and volume, but combines decorative colors, deformed shapes and light expression that compromises classicism and impressionism in the color gradient method. K ichi Sat's works are characterized by vague outline, gradual color change, weakened light and shade, and relatively enhanced color. The three are integrated, natural and harmonious, and each has its own characteristics, opening up a new world where East and West blend.

Second, the international and diversified design requirements

From the combination of cultural design images of different nationalities and countries to the exchange activities of various countries, it has led a more integrated younger generation. In the field of graphic design, graphics is its visual language, which gives people the same feeling. Its biggest feature is to pursue an international perspective and make the design have first-class quality. However, the demand of globalization and diversification of design puts forward a rational cognitive view on graphic creation, thinking angle and public understanding. Under the premise of globalization, the concepts and expressions of different countries and nations are basically the same in the expression of modern graphic design language. Conciseness, expression, cleverness and wisdom ... Looking at the trend of modern design in the world, it is particularly important to study the influence of modern society on graphic design in order to keep keen design thinking and make works conform to modern world design.

Third, regional localization design needs

Localization design refers to the design ideas gradually formed by designers through thinking in the local environment. Region, thinking and lifestyle determine their design style, and local culture also has a certain influence on their design. Therefore, the growth of the designer's region determines his cognitive view of design. If designers can complete graphic design works based on local culture, then the images they create will have their own ideas and independent expression ability. To some extent, we can understand that the word "Hua" in localized design contains the possibility and initiative of changing from one nature or state to another, and localized design first conveys its outstanding spirit literally. In fact, we can also say that we have set up a position of the other. From the standpoint of the other party or the third party, we can look back at some long-standing thinking characteristics and things in our own culture, and our attitude will become more objective and our thoughts will become more dialectical and clear.
