Professor Chang Mingchang is mainly engaged in the cultivation of edible fungi, the development of resources in Shan Ye, the classification of fungi, the research of health food and truffles, the distribution of edible fungi products and technical services. He has published academic papers 103, published books 10, edited 2 textbooks of edible fungi for national colleges and universities in the 20th century, 2 textbooks of edible fungi cultivation in the 11th Five-Year Plan and 2 undergraduate textbooks of edible fungi cultivation. It has successively undertaken 15 projects such as National Natural Science Foundation, provincial agricultural science and technology key projects, provincial industrial science and technology key projects, provincial university industrialization projects and provincial natural science foundation projects, won the first prize of rural technology contracting in Shanxi Province and the second prize of scientific and technological progress in Shanxi Province, and jointly published 16 articles on new species of underground fungi, which is one of the academic authorities of underground fungi classification research in China.

For more than 20 years, Professor Chang Mingchang has been helping the poor through science and technology and transforming achievements in more than 30 counties and cities in Shanxi Province. Established the largest mushroom production base and Pleurotus nebrodensis production base in Shanxi Province, trained more than 20,000 farmers, popularized more than 300 fine varieties, and achieved social and economic benefits of about 65.438+0.6 billion yuan. The largest production bases of Lentinus edodes, Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus nebrodensis, Ganoderma lucidum and Hericium erinaceus were established in Anze, Zezhou, Qingxu and Taigu counties, and the mud wall cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum, Lentinus edodes and Hericium erinaceus was invented. For the first time, five industrial production bases of edible fungi were established in Shanxi Province. They are the founders of modern edible fungi industry in Shanxi Province, with self-raised funds of more than 8 million yuan, and the largest edible fungi research platform in Shanxi Province was established in Taigu.
