Professor Zhao Dongyuan has been engaged in the synthesis and structural characterization of micro-mesoporous molecular sieve materials and nanomaterials for many years. During my postdoctoral research abroad, I synthesized mesoporous molecular sieve structures (SBA series) with large pore size, high wall thickness, high hydrothermal stability and high order, such as SBA- 15, and published the research results in Science as the first author, which was internationally recognized. The paper was cited more than 2 100 times, which promoted the development of mesoporous materials. In recent years, he synthesized 18 kinds of new structures of FDU mesoporous molecular sieves named after Fudan University, developed the route of "acid-base pair" to synthesize mesoporous materials, and prepared a series of mesoporous oxide materials, mesoporous polymers and carbon materials with thermal stability, large pore size and high order, which formed unique insights on the structure, morphology control and multiphase assembly mechanism of mesoporous molecular sieves and contributed to the development and application of mesoporous materials. He has published more than 260 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad, including Science, Nature, Nature Materials, JACS and Angew. Chemistry. Professor Zhao Dongyuan has become a leader in this field with his professional and dedicated scientific research spirit. At present, he is a director of Chinese Chemical Society and Materials Society, a member of catalytic professional committee, a director of inorganic professional committee of Shanghai Chemical and Chemical Society, and a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the fifth session of the Ministry of Education. Professor Zhao Dongyuan's influence in international related fields is also growing. Professor Zhao Dongyuan actively carried out international academic cooperation and exchanges, and successfully organized many international and domestic academic conferences (including the 5th International Symposium on Mesoporous Materials IMMS2006 and the 6th Northeast Asia Symposium on Nanotechnology). And actively promote Fudan University's cross-departmental exchange student training programs with world-class universities such as the University of California, the University of Barcelona in Spain, and the University of St. Andrews in the United Kingdom.
