Qiu Guangming, a native of Quanjiao, Anhui Province, was born in 1936. Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of East China Art Institute. He is currently an associate researcher at the Institute of Management of the Bureau of Technical Supervision, a director of the Society of Archaeology of Science and Technology, and an executive director of the International Society of Metrological History. He has written many papers such as China Ancient Metrology Map (cooperation), Metrology Vertical and Horizontal (cooperation), China Ancient Metrology Test, Huangzhong Melody and Length Measurement.
