Greeting each other is one of the most important means to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with others. "Japanese education", that is, when teaching people whose mother tongue is not Japanese, greetings have always been regarded as an important guiding project. Japanese learners in China rarely have the opportunity to observe their behavior while being exposed to Japanese, so it is necessary to provide systematic information. Based on this situation, the author discusses the characteristics of Chinese and Japanese greetings from the perspective of Japanese learners. The theoretical basis of this paper is the previous research of Zemu Sugimoto (1999). In this paper, Chinese and Japanese modern TV dramas are taken as the analysis object, and the meeting scenes are taken as the center to investigate the language and culture. This paper consists of four parts. The first part is the introduction, which discusses the source of this topic and expounds the research purpose and significance of this paper. That is, through the comparison of daily greeting scenes between China and Japan, the similarities and differences of language and culture between the two countries are investigated. The second part is the research status and position of this paper. Many arguments are enumerated, the definition, motivation and function of greetings are clarified, and the position of this paper is determined. The third part is a comparative study of daily greetings between China and Japan. This part analyzes and compares the greetings when meeting from two aspects: language and culture. In this paper, the daily greetings between China and Japan are taken as the research object, and the meeting scenes in modern TV dramas are recorded by contrast and investigation in contrastive linguistics, classified according to language form, speaker relationship and different scenes, and the data are obtained and analyzed. Chinese survey results show that "questioning style", "addressing style" and "hello style" are widely used. It was thought that Japanese greetings were particularly rigid, but through practical analysis, in addition to fixed greetings, there were various manifestations. In the whole Japanese conference scene, "interjection", "time type" and "address type" are widely used. Similarities and differences in language examine four attributes: stereotype, equivalence, symmetry and expression. The survey results show that Japanese people often use fixed greetings. On the contrary, Chinese expressions are rich and colorful. Therefore, we can feel the characteristics of Japanese etiquette and formalization, while China people greet each other in various forms. "Equivalence" is not a unique attribute of greetings, so this paper does not take it as an important inspection item. In Chinese, "hello" and "address" have high symmetry.
