Segmentation refers to sorting out all the parts that the author pieced together in a certain way to express the central idea, that is, logical paragraphs, also known as meaningful paragraphs. There is no absolute standard for segmentation, but there is a basic requirement: it can reflect the author's writing ideas and show the context of the text. This "train of thought" and "thread" are the sequence of ideas and writing steps of the author when writing. How do students correctly grasp the author's conception order and writing steps when learning the text? How can we draw a clear paragraph more accurately? First of all, we must master the steps of segmentation, and then we must choose the correct segmentation method.
First of all, the steps of segmentation can be summarized as four words, namely, "read, think, go back and check." "Reading" means reading the whole text, clarifying the author's thoughts and showing the context of the text, which is the key to segmentation. "Thinking" means thinking about the main content of each natural paragraph; "Gui" is to merge one or closely related natural paragraphs into one semantic paragraph; "Check" means to link the meaning of each paragraph with the center of the full text to see if it is consistent, and then link the meaning of each paragraph to see if it constitutes a rigorous whole.
2. There are two segmentation methods: vertical segmentation and horizontal segmentation. To master these two methods, we must first understand the concepts of "vertical structure" and "horizontal structure". The so-called "vertical structure" refers to the article structure arranged in the order of occurrence and development of things. Narrative (notes) mostly belong to vertical structure, and "horizontal structure" is an article structure that divides the content to be described and explained into several horizontal planes and expands side by side from several aspects. Explanatory texts are mostly in this structural form.
(a) vertical segmentation method, follow the "vertical structure" segmentation method, called vertical segmentation method. Generally, it includes the following two types: 1, which is segmented according to the sequence of events and is more common in narrative. 2, in chronological order. In general narration, the development of events is marked by the order of time or the order of place change. Therefore, we should grasp the time words and position nouns of the text as an important basis for dividing meaningful paragraphs. The narrative of chronological materials can be segmented by grasping time words. The occurrence and development of events are often accompanied by the passage of time. Therefore, when segmenting, we should look at which one is the main one, comprehensively consider and choose the appropriate method.
(2) The horizontal segmentation method is called the horizontal segmentation method according to the "horizontal structure" segmentation method. Generally, it also includes two types: 1, which are classified and segmented according to the nature of things. This classification and segmentation method is mostly used for explanatory texts. 2. According to the transformation of spatial position, this segmentation method is mostly used to remember stories of people in different places. In addition to "vertical segmentation" and "horizontal segmentation", there are also segmentation according to the sequence of characters' appearance and segmentation according to the author's narrative method. Segmentation according to the order in which characters appear is usually suitable for scripts.
Generally speaking, it can be considered from the following two aspects: 1, the transition period of the discussion, and its upper and lower ownership according to the focus of the discussion. 2, narrative transition, according to its narrative foothold, considering its upper and lower ownership, generally divided into upper and lower. Of course, the methods of paragraph division are not just the ones mentioned above, so I won't list them here. It should be noted that there are often more than one way to divide paragraphs in an article. Paragraph division should prevent the following situations: first, the thinking is confused and the division standards are inconsistent from beginning to end; The other is not paying attention to the attribution of turning sentences between paragraphs; There is also formulaic segmentation, no matter what kind of article, it is three paragraphs, which will lead to incorrect segmentation errors. It is not difficult to divide the article into several sections. As long as you think carefully, follow the rules and practice more, you will be able to distinguish right. Summarizing the meaning of paragraphs is an important means to understand the content of the article and grasp the author's thoughts, and it is also the premise to grasp the main content of the article and summarize the central idea.
