Application of cssci

For social science researchers, China Social Science Citation Index provides researchers with cutting-edge information in related research fields and the pulse of academic research development in various disciplines from two aspects: source documents and cited documents. Through the logical combination search of different disciplines and fields, we can explore new growth points of disciplines and show the ways to realize knowledge innovation.

Cssci provides all kinds of statistical analysis data for social science administrators, such as regions, institutions, disciplines and scholars, thus providing scientific and reasonable decision-making reference for formulating scientific research development plans and scientific research policies.

For journal researchers and managers, cssci provides a variety of quantitative data: citation frequency, impact factors, that is, annual indicators, journal impact breadth, geographical distribution, half-life and so on. Through the analysis and statistics of various quantitative indicators, it can provide scientific basis for periodical evaluation, column setting and topic selection. Cssci can also provide quantitative basis for academic evaluation of publishing houses and works of various disciplines.
