Part one: My thoughts on reading Fabres's Entomology.
My father bought me a set of Fables Insects, which contains ten books. The author introduces the living habits and predation ways of insects with wonderful stories, such as smart hunter-mud bee, surgeon expert-sand mud bee, tarantula, genius architect-round web spider, etc. These stories are so fascinating that I read them with relish.
Among all the insects, what impressed me the most was the dung beetle, a scavenger in nature. In the book, the scarab named "Magic Hand" is the protagonist of the story. Magic hands like to eat dung balls very much. She met many difficulties and friends on her way home. The magic hand asked them many questions, enriched their knowledge, learned the characteristics and habits of many other kinds of dung beetles, and made more friends.
I also learned a lot of knowledge with magic hands and understood a lot of truth. I understand that only persistence can succeed. Just like the magic hand in the book, she encountered various difficulties in pushing the dung ball home, but she tried not to give up. Where there is a will, there is a way. She finally pushed the dung ball home and ate the delicious dung ball.
I will study like a magic hand in the future. I'm not afraid of hard work and don't give up easily. Ask teachers, parents and classmates if you don't understand something, so that you can learn more knowledge.
Chapter two: Thoughts on reading insects.
I finished reading Insects today. This book was written by French writer Fabres, and I like it very much. This book has written many stories about insects. I'll tell you a little story about a little bee.
This little bee has great ability. It has a strong memory. If you put the bee far away from its nest, it will fly back no matter how long it takes. If the wind blows in the opposite direction at this time, if you put the bee far away, it can still come back. If you let the bee out of the nest at two o'clock and put it halfway two miles away, it will fly back around two forty, covered with pollen. In other words, the bee can't be two and a half miles away after a quarter of an hour, which includes the time to collect pollen. This shows that bees are fast.
This insect book broadens my horizons and increases my knowledge. I want to study as hard as a bee, not to be playful, and to do my homework carefully. This book also taught me a lot about insects, but I learned some interesting things about nature.
Chapter 3: Thinking about reading insects.
Do you know the world of insects?
Recently, I read an Insect edited by Fables. He showed us the colorful insect world. Come and have a look!
Weak fireflies can eat snails! I am so surprised. It turns out that there is a cruel nature hidden under their weak skins. When hunting, it always "touches" its prey repeatedly with its humble jaw. Its chin is its anesthetic needle, anesthetizing its prey until it is unconscious, and then it begins its brutal scene, chewing their bodies comfortably on its prey.
The indomitable spirit of scarab made me feel more deeply. They always transport food balls to their habitat. Their modes of transportation are also different: they lie on the ball first, hold the ball tightly with their hind legs, and walk slowly on the ground with strong arms, but they often go astray and step on steep slopes, but every time they fail, they become more and more brave, five times, ten times, twenty times ... no matter how difficult it is, until they succeed. If we are all like it, then we can have more fruits of victory!
The insect world is a strange, dangerous and colorful world! Look at this book!
Chapter four: Reflections on The Book of Insects.
Today I read Entomology, a book written by Fabres, an outstanding French entomologist.
I like the book Entomology very much, because it lets me know about insects. This book writes that fireflies skillfully eat snails, crickets, midges and mantises.
My favorite article in this book is that fireflies skillfully eat snails. Although fireflies are weak in appearance, they are carnivores and predators. When they get their prey, they use rare and vicious means. Its prey is usually a snail almost no bigger than a cherry. How do fireflies eat their prey? The tools used by fireflies to eat snails are invisible to the naked eye. You need a magnifying glass to see two hooked jaws, which are very sharp, but as thin as hair. This is its tool. Because it preys on snails, it is not difficult to attack snails if they crawl or even shrink into their shells. Most of the front part of the snail shell is exposed, and there is no cover, so it is easy to be hurt. For example, the snail's shell and its bracket are not tightly attached, indicating that the cover is not suitable. In this way, even if the exposed part is only a little big, fireflies can sting snails slightly with their exquisite tools, and they can eat quietly.
The closer you get to nature, the more unexpected things will happen!
Chapter five: Thoughts on reading entomology.
Insects is a great work about insects. This was written by the famous entomologist Fabres all his life. The insect story in the book leads us into the wonderful insect world.
What interests me most in The Story of Kun Chong is the moth, whose life is like "dressing first, eating second". This bug is very weak and vulnerable to natural enemies. But it has a very powerful skill-wearing clothes. It can wrap leaves, branches, paper and so on. Protect yourself from natural enemies. New clothes will be put on every day, and there will be many changes, and clothes will always be the first priority. Isn't this insect strange? There are more interesting stories, all in Insects.
After reading this book, I deeply feel that without this book, we would know nothing about insects. Without this book, we can't see these touching stories. The first word of entomology contains Fabres's painstaking efforts. It took him 30 years to write this book. Therefore, we should deeply thank this "scientific poet"-Fabres. So let's open the book Insects with reverence.
