Introduction:
Electric power is the pillar industry of national economic development and an important part of all industrial development, which is closely related to the national economy and people's lives. The management of substation project is directly related to the stability and safety of substation operation, so as to ensure the safety of electricity consumption in production and life. Therefore, it is very important to strengthen the management of substation construction projects. There are many kinds and links of substation projects, and each link is closely related and has great influence. One link error will lead to the paralysis of the whole project. To this end, we need to strengthen the construction standards of engineering projects and strengthen the management of all links. If the future substation project wants to develop well, the engineering department and the final completion of the project play a very important role. At the same time, project management plays an important role in the work process. If it is not managed properly, the expenditure will be reduced, which will lead to waste of materials, increase of costs and property safety problems.
1, Problems existing in substation construction project management
1. 1, the management system is not perfect.
Because the electric power engineering construction project is relatively complex, orderly and complete, a comprehensive scheme is usually designed before construction, the overall construction plan is defined, and the construction plan is implemented in the actual construction process. This idea is preset, so comparative analysis will have some preset defects. In personnel management, we should improve the current management system, reduce the mobility of employees and increase their sense of ownership. First of all, we should improve the social security mechanism, increase social welfare, establish a healthy training system, formulate employee career plans, and realize the sustainable development of employees. We pay special attention to the cultivation of talents, formulate scientific and reasonable courses according to the shortage of talents, and ensure the continuous improvement of employees' skills and quality.

In addition, we must do a good job in training management, establish a special training institution to supervise and investigate employees, pay attention to post-training inspection, effectively set goals that match the evaluation results, analyze and evaluate problems in time, and take actions according to the problems. 2.4, strengthen the construction quality management.
(1) Strictly control the construction environment. According to the construction process, first of all, we should make good preparations before construction, correctly arrange equipment, materials and safety warning signs, and reduce the risk of construction work. For example, when building 1 10kV substation, it is necessary to find out the location of potential grounding grid to ensure the construction quality. In the maintenance room, cable trench and wire room at the bottom of the screen, it is necessary to build a 100mm2 grounding copper bar according to the installation direction of the cabinet. It is mainly constructed by selecting the type of "grid" shaped copper bars and connecting the two ends in an orderly way. It is necessary to erect a sign at the intersection of the grounding grid and the electric wire.
(2) Strictly control the quality of equipment and materials. Due to the huge substation construction project, some projects are outsourced, which leads to material and equipment problems in the project construction process.

Core technologies and main materials can be selected through bidding to maximize the profit of materials and equipment. 2.5, improve the project acceptance management process.
After the project is completed, it is necessary to do a good job, compare the construction results with the construction plan, judge the differences between them, and do a good job in cost accounting. It is necessary to create investment, especially the important cost content, solve the current unreasonable factors and establish a safety net. Cables, new equipment, wiring cabinets, etc. Construction must be placed according to the standard. At the same time, we should try our best to prevent and protect accidents such as falling objects and electric shock, and analyze the causes of the problems according to the situation, and the personnel should bear the corresponding responsibilities. After the installation of electrical equipment, it should be inspected according to the structural drawing, and then inspected according to the relevant national evaluation standards.
